Colby got destroyed on so many plays today. We’ll see how improved they are starting next week.
The mere fact that none of these experienced OLinenen were good enough to be considered NFL ready should tell us about their talent level.
True, but Kaleb has often been running through huge holes, which says the OL is doing better this year and Lester is dialing up a better run game. Kaleb is obviously a stud...shows you you need elite athletes...but last year he was also a stud, but mostly no holes and Leshon was more effective because he was more power/straight ahead runner.
Other than the poor red zone offense last week, its over all encouraging that we are scoring more points despite lackluster QB play. Cade did have a good completion percentage today....but he lacks the mobility and down field throws.

Jazz, Moulton are more like ARob. Nice burst, they’ll break off a 20-40 yarder once in a while. They usually get caught tho.
Johnson can score from anywhere. So if he goes down, we have to rely on 35+ play drives which Iowa hasn’t shown the consistency for stringing together more than 6
Such are the fortunes of football. All sports are his a team can handle attrition and who gets injured.
45 carries for 284 yards. Over 6 yards a Carry. Id say that’s pretty damn good. Should we have run for 350 or more? 284 has to be one of our best games in awhile. Look, we gave up a few big plays but our o line and running game has been excellent this year.
We can certainly bitch about a few things but if you’re bitching our o line after rushing for almost 300 yards you’ve got your head up your ass.
Our rush blocking has been good. Over 200 yards last week and 280 this week. Pass blocking not as good. Jones in the middle has to get better on blitzes.
Yesterday we had over 450 yards of offense. I get that Troy is not that good but the OL has improved.

Which is really confusing. Iowa Te and WR’s have always been known to be great blockers.
