We just played #4 on the road. The good news is we will have several more opportunities to beat a top ten team coming up. After a couple of more warm-up games (Drake and Tennessee Tech), things are about to get very challenging.

We start at home versus #1 MSU. Then we go on the road against #11 Purdue. Then we get Nebraska at home. Then we go on the road against MSU.

The next 4 games after that are not much easier. We have Michigan at home and Rutgers on the road. Then we get Purdue at home and #6 Maryland on the road.

In total, 5 of our first 8 games in the Big Ten are against teams ranked in the Top 11 and three of those games are on the road. If we can win 4 of these games and get at least one upset, that would be a great start to the Big Ten.

I feel like this may be a season where we have a really high KenPom raking (we are currently no. 14), and a solid RPI, but are a bubble team due to an incredibly difficult schedule. We really need to upset MSU or Purdue at home to pad our resume.

Have to protect the home court. Iowa has to win all their games at home and squeak maybe 1 or 2 out on the road to be in the Dance.

Going to be hard, the Big 10 is downright tough this year.

Wow, that's a seriously front-loaded schedule. Can't get down if it produces a number of losses.

Going 2-2 out of the gate would be fantastic. Not sure where the 1 win vs. MSU x2 and Purdue is going to come from though.

I'll go ahead and say Purdue is the most underrated team this year and will win the B1G over MSU

They might win it all. They seriously have the best post players in the Big 10. They start something like 7-1 and then bring in a 7-1 and then their freshman is a stud as well. They are solid all the way around. They will out rebound and dominate anyone in the paint.
I do not like Iowa's chances vs them.
