What's going on with CM? I see posts ripping him for quitting on the team, but I thought that was walked back days if not weeks ago.
Just a guess, but considering how few games he ended up playing for us in his tenure, he may still feel more connected to Michigan and didn’t feel that the experience would have been good. Unfortunately I think that’s a mistake as this is probably the only opportunity he’ll get. Unless he’s going after a medical redshirt, which he could have a shot at considering the number of games he missed over the past three seasons.Lets face it; when a person is not happy, they do interesting things.
I think we can all relate.
Perhaps Cade decided to take “the higher road” on this? Maybe Cade didn’t want to walk out to an ovation of “boos”? Maybe Cade didn’t want to angst the crowd? A million reasons out there. It’s all just been handled poorly by Iowa. Kirk comes out and says he’s the starter and he’s listed as QB1 on the depth chart. Then walks it back and has to change his story. Then they let Cade “opt out” of senior day. Is that a thing?!?!? I’ve never heard of that before. Not someone that could come back obviously but he is done.
This. He also knows he knee was bad when he signed. He hoped but UM told him the truth.Perhaps Cade decided to take “the higher road” on this? Maybe Cade didn’t want to walk out to an ovation of “boos”? Maybe Cade didn’t want to angst the crowd? A million reasons out there.
Concussions are a strange injury. Maybe Cade “didn’t feel right” even though he had been given medical clearance? Maybe there was miscommunication between Cade/Kirk and staff?
Perhaps it gets “we” try not to make a mountain out of a molehill…and let things work themselves out.
Would he really have been booed?? I think he’s been awful and given every chance to succeed. I cheered loudly for Harris. Probably would have just stayed silent for Cade.Perhaps Cade decided to take “the higher road” on this? Maybe Cade didn’t want to walk out to an ovation of “boos”? So Iowa just got taken to the cleaners by Cade is what you are saying?!? Glad Kirk and Brian fell for it?This. He also knows he knee was bad when he signed. He hoped but UM told him the truth.
No, KF want a game manager which wouldnt go Banks, Tate, Stanzi, and CJ on him. He couldnt do much with that knee. All on KirkSo Iowa just got taken to the cleaners by Cade is what you are saying?!? Glad Kirk and Brian fell for it?
Definitely all on Kirk and Brian. This becomes Lester’s offense after the bowl game, including getting a portal quarterback. No, KF want a game manager which wouldnt go Banks, Tate, Stanzi, and CJ on him. He couldnt do much with that knee. All on Kirk
What you saw last night was KF s dream game.
Justifies his decision.Would he really have been booed?? I think he’s been awful and given every chance to succeed. I cheered loudly for Harris. Probably would have just stayed silent for Cade.
Why?? Did the walk on offensive lineman that never played get the same applause as Jay Higgins?? Is there a rule you need to clap the same for everyone?!?Justifies his decision.

Like to Wartburg or Simpson?!? I can’t imagine a scholarship program would even enertain him. He’s transfering
Idk where, but that came from some who I would trust with that type of information.Like to Wartburg or Simpson?!? I can’t imagine a scholarship program would even enertain him.
Interesting. That at least makes sense although I don’t know why he’d be allowed to be a part of the team anymore.Idk where, but that came from some who I would trust with that type of information.
Mr Idiot zit faced kid in mom and dad’s basement?I demand that @CFPboundHawkeyeDogshit (who joined this site yesterday at 11:00 pm CT) like this post before he gets banned and has to create ANOTHER new account.
Thank you.
Agree … he had an injury ridden career … he was/is a good man and will be successful in his life but not in football and I hope I eat my words, but I want the best for this guy as it wasn’t like he wasn’t trying to do his best. He will absolutely be successful in whatever he plans on doing (sorry, besides for football) 🏈 stand up gentleman in my booksWho knows why he didn’t want to go all out but let the guy leave on his own accord. I’m sure he had big plans when he came to Iowa and it certainly didn’t go as either side would have wanted.
Best of luck on your chapter young man!
He's the highest paid player on the roster.Perhaps Cade decided to take “the higher road” on this? Maybe Cade didn’t want to walk out to an ovation of “boos”? Maybe Cade didn’t want to angst the crowd? A million reasons out there.

We cant all relate to being a college player on a top team in a top conference. Cade had his chances here, made some nice throws, but ultimately if he is not happy then it is about his injuries because he got every chance here. You have to be a big person and suck it up.Lets face it; when a person is not happy, they do interesting things.

Did he not walk on the field as a Senior? What's going on with CM? I see posts ripping him for quitting on the team, but I thought that was walked back days if not weeks ago.
Absolutely 💯- and your reply was spot on thank you.. I owe you a beer 🍺The dude has serious mental health issues. I really feel bad for them as there is nothing about what they do that is sane. I'm being 100% genuine while saying this.
I do agree with what most of what you said … I don’t know the entire story but if that’s the truth and the case then my mind drastically changed about himHe's the highest paid player on the roster.
Suck it up. Be thankful. Be humble. Show up for Senior Day.
Collect your check. Move on.
He'll never play another game here, and he knows that.....Just a guess, but considering how few games he ended up playing for us in his tenure, he may still feel more connected to Michigan and didn’t feel that the experience would have been good. Were his parents attending the game? If not, I could somewhat understand his opting out. benefit of the doubtPerhaps Cade decided to take “the higher road” on this? Maybe Cade didn’t want to walk out to an ovation of “boos”? Maybe Cade didn’t want to angst the crowd? A million reasons out there.

No D1 team would take a shot with his health history......He’s transfering
Exactly. I don't see the need for multiple people to speculate different things when we have no idea why. The HC was good with his decision. Why not just let it go at that. Were his parents attending the game? If not, I could somewhat understand his opting out. benefit of the doubt
That would not surprise me in the least......Pretty upset by the whole thing. I showed up just to boo him for his walkout. Once the pregame festivities were over I left.
Hmmm. Imagine that. 34 posts in and someone has some actual information and not just blasting the guy without knowing anything about why he did that.He might be a decent depth addition for a team with a quality O-line, but it won't be at Iowa. Kaekert said last night he will enter the portal.
I thought his eligibility is up?He might be a decent depth addition for a team with a quality O-line, but it won't be at Iowa. Kaekert said last night he will enter the portal.
He'll probably figure out a way to squeeze out maybe another $100k from some other program dumb enough to take the bait.I thought his eligibility is up?
speaking out of my ass, but I'm assuming last year he could get a hardship waiver.I thought his eligibility is up?
