Out of the loop re: McNamara

I was happy with the win. I stayed through the end with my 7 year old who went to his first game. It was complete luck, but I’ll take it.

Cade McNamara was a terrible player for Iowa and left crying and refusing to be with his team. He hilariously did the same at Michigan.
All people are different. When I retire I will just walk away. Left jobs that way. Gen Z is more relational than X but will ghost.

Im sure no one is more disapointed in his play than he is. He is here for himself, not boomers or xers.

Like to Wartburg or Simpson?!? I can’t imagine a scholarship program would even enertain him.
I'm sure there are a lot of programs who would love to hype up the "QB with a B1G championship and CFP experience coming to our team" aspect of it. Sound familiar?

Yea but now you have two years of seeing him being poor to terrible at a big ten school in between Michigan and wherever he ends up.

No, your question that I replied to is below:
“Why?? Did the walk on offensive lineman that never played get the same applause as Jay Higgins?? Is there a rule you need to clap the same for everyone?!?”

I responded, with the answer to you asking “why?” I totally stand behind my originall reply. . And now you are changing the original question you asked in subsequent posts.
The rant about (me) being the “clap police” was douchey especially since I did not post anything about how much or how little clapping each should receive. I only stated why the walk on that did not see the field gets their applause.

Maybe mentioned on this site or I SIAP the word was he was going to apply for another year and enter the portal. Anyone hear this?

I really hope it's just health issues and that those can be corrected. I don't know how he could possibly transfer and play another season of FBS football, but if there is some loophole, more power to him. That being said, there was a podcast from this site when he transferred to Iowa and the hosts brought in a journalist from Michigan. What that journalist described as Cade's behavior at Michigan could be playing out at Iowa as well. Everything from him being the ultimate team guy when things were going well and they made their playoff push, to him becoming distant and contentious when the competition for the starting quarterback job was opened up.
Cade himself also basically admitted on one of the Vandeberg podcasts that no other team was really interested. Kirk gambled on him. I wish it would have worked out for everyone involved, but it didn't.

You literally made up a question which appears to be, “Why should we honor guys that didn’t play or played poorly?” and then pretend that I asked that.
I asked simply why was Cade jusfited in not walking because he wouldn’t have gotten a loud applause.
And then I asked did certain players get the same applause as others. Which obviously didn’t happen.

You do realize then when Cade had the surgery in California because the Michigan doctors didn't agree with the surgery, (basically the same thing that happened to Eric All) that the Michigan doctors were not going to clear Cade to play again after his surgery. Thats why he left....
That's actually not correct. The situations between Cade and All were very different.

The University of Michigan Hospital is world class but that doesn't mean they have all the best doctors (duh). In conjunction with the hospital, our AD has an extensive list of approved specialists for all the different procedures...not only from the US but globally.

In All's case, he first saw a few on the list and they all agreed with the Umich doctors who said he shouldn't do the surgery. He then went off the list and found a surgeon who had never done it before. The rift happened when the Umich doctors wouldn't clear him JUST on the word of the unapproved surgeon...they never said never...they just they had to do their own tests before clearing.

In Cade's situation he actually went to an approved doctor (he actually got the referral from Umich!!!)....one who has done surgeries on other Michigan athletes. If this guy had cleared him to play his word would have been enough for medical. But the rift happened before he had the surgery. It happened when he disassociated himself from the team mid-season while he was still a captain (something All didn't do btw). Cade kind of (understatement) acted like a little biatch when he lost his job. All spent some time in A2 before the draft last year and was welcomed back with open arms.

I thought it was odd how the last play of Cade's Iowa career went down.

A pick six thrown to Northwestern. Did he get concussed on that play?

Because for a while afterwards, I thought the pick six was when his poor play became poor enough that even KF had to try a different QB.

Then later I learn that apparently he got concussed on that pick six play... at least that's what we're told.
I still think that was a way for the coaches to let everyone save face. And CM is thanking them for that by...doing whatever it is he's doing now.

Are you this forgetful or a liar? You asked:
Why?? Did the walk on offensive lineman that never played get the same applause as Jay Higgins?? Is there a rule you need to clap the same for everyone?!?
And I answered the “why.”
Maybe you’re drunk…

Because you didn’t answer the question I asked. Unless your answer is that everyone deserves to be applauded the same, because then you are living in a fantasy world.

This. He also knows he knee was bad when he signed. He hoped but UM told him the truth.
So you don’t think Iowa did a complete physical on him to make sure he was medically cleared? Because if you don’t then you’re ridiculous. We took a chance and it didn’t work out, for many reasons. But when you’re as desperate for a QB as we were/are you do certain things.

Obviously, it didn't work out as anyone wanted, Cade, Kirk, players, and fans included. I know he's had poor health, but he's been well compensated and you can't quit on your team like that, so to Cade I say:

I did answer your first question, and very specifically in fact, of why the walk on who does not see the field in games gets recognized, and receives applause?
I do not need to answer your follow up question b/c I am not the arbiter of applause or clapping. It is each person’s own decision. Nowhere did I ever say some players will, or should get more or less applause than someone else. What amount of applause each playet gets is what they get. But I answered your ignorant question, and clarified things when you tried to deny asking it,

That was not the damn question. Can you not comprehend that?!?
You are just making stuff up. It’s actually pretty funny to see you twist yourself into a pretzel.

Does no one listen to podcasts? On the Legends and Listeners they said Cade did not show up for practice on Tuesday and Wednesday of the Maryland game week. Hes lucky he is still on the team in my opinion. Kirk is showing him some grace and I think he's going to try for another season with another program which is why he didn't do senior day stuff.

He didn’t show up for practice?!?!? According to all these Kirk and Cade apologists that would be impossible!

I think Iowa did. KF wanted a no frills manager sort of what he has in Stratton.

What was the date of that podcast? The one before the current one I take it?

Not the question? I actually included your quote asking the question. You asked the question in Post #14. See post #14 where you post a question? I chose to answer the question and only that one. Do, go back and see post #14 and tel me I am making up your question.,,

You stated a question, above, I didn’t ask.

Only after you went full douche on my answering a question you did make, then tried to deny asking the question.,, I can’t keep track of all of your false claims and denials, I apologize if at the end of it all I make a mistake. And mow back to the speculation on Cade..,

Agree on that. Cade quit on his team after being demoted, the reporters all know the full story and can’t tell it, they (Kirk and Cade) are now hiding behind the “concussion” stuff and now Cade pouted and wouldn’t walk for senior day. Good riddance Cade. You were awful as a Hawkeye and got paid handsomely for doing so.

Of course. He won't be going to a P4 program that is the least bit competitive, but there are all kinds of G5 teams that could use some kind of novelty to get interest going in their lousy program, maybe even a place close to home for him (Nevada Wolfpack).
