**Paris Olympic Wrestling**

He was the #1 seed and definitely favored to win it by some.

He's beaten some very high level wrestlers.

Do you even follow wrestling?

Look up the 2023 World Championships in Belgrade.

Once again, he's the #1 seed for a reason.
I'm not suggesting he wasn't the favorite, but he was far from a sure thing. Yes he's had a solid little run, albeit in a pretty weak and watered down weight class.
It's not like peak Karelin or Sadulaev just dropped out of the weight class.
If Spencer wins it, and I think he will and would have with or without Micic, no one with a wrestling brain will be saying, "yeah bit Micic wasn't there" in the years to come.

I think that’s the main point, it doesn’t taint anything. Outside of his parents I don’t think Micic was favored over the field.

They’re probably training in the USA by coaches from the USA? If any of the guys from our team wrestle them we damn well better win. Please take the vagina statement to the other thread.
Go Spencer, Go Hawks!
Why, that's not a political statement it is a scientific and factual one. How about you not trying to turn facts into political nonsense.

She wrestled a near perfect match. Took the easy stepout points. Didn't force the underhook when it became apparent her opponent was waiting for it to counter. Didn't push for the tech & just stayed in good position. Gave up the late 2, staying out of any possible last sec yolo throws. Good stuff.

Elor has a recent win over her next opponent as well. Amit beat her 5-0 at '23 U23s
Took a page out of Spencer's playbook.

He wasn’t the favorite. The weight class is anything but weak and watered down. Actually it’s significantly more difficult than 3 years ago in Japan.

Micic was the opening favorite at -150 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Spencer was nearly a 2-1 underdog. That did change quickly.

8 of the 21 wrestling "journalists" picked someone other than Tazhudinov to win 97KG [6 picked Snyder and 2 went for Magomedov] That seems crazy.

Well to be honest one of the journalists would have picked me if I was wearing so much as USA branded me underwear.
