Despite the weak opponent, Iowa played with much more “pep” today. I’m not ready to give up on the season yet. Unlike football, in hoops a team can lose some early in season and still have time to turn it around.
If Fran is going to insist on playing those starters most of the minutes there's almost no upside for this team.
We have a shih tzu who helped our other golden who went blind all over our house and around the back yard. Was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen she was so sad when she passed. Now she has our 4 year old golden and is a quasi therapy dog. Won’t leave her side or mine as I’m up watching Law and Order at 3 am because I’m up giving pills at all times. Dogs are amazing and I love all of them. I’d do any thing to make them feel good we are everything to them and they are everything to me.

Yep. Was gonna say, guess we can stop blaming Carver for the lack of attendance. People simply aren't turning out to watch this program these days. Just a lack of passion in general from the fanbase. Especially since it sounds like the women got a great turnout.

It didn’t help that most of the people around me were on average 55+ years old and would put fingers in their ears if my wife and I ever cheered “too loudly”. It’s like if you’re not going to cheer and participate in a game you paid to attend, stay at home and watch it on TV imo

I think every fan base is like this to some extent. There's going to be more enthusiasm and hence more attendance, when the team wins at a high level.
How many losing seasons have we had? I don’t disagree we have not racked up a bunch of BT titles throughout the years but I was pushing back on the “garbage” comment.
Did not look good. But these tickets were a package deal I believe. They sold out within minutes. The people just didn't show up for the men. I actually think the demand for the women may have pushed out some people that would have showed for the men.
I agree that “garbage” is strong but as has been said at length: middle-ish in the conference regular season and done first week of the tournament, if they get there. Folks have seen the movie enough.
There's a significant pertion of new fans that won't watch any women's basketball after Clark is gone.
