I used to be general manager at kumngo at drake location. (Loved the people, kumngo is a sh** company). Anyway after they committed to Iowa they were at Drake for an event and they came into store. They were tall and a little skinny. I remember thinking they would have to add a lot of weight. Told them I was a huge Hawk fan and excited they were playing for us. They broke into huge smiles and were very polite young men. Now I see them with huge beards looking like Paul Bunyon clones. Good to see them doing well.

I’m not sure when they were skinny, but great story. I saw them eating at HuHot when they were seniors. I think management was legitimately concerned that they’d run out of food. Those two were and are huge! Hope they can translate that size and strength into Big Ten level skills and get on the field. The tackle yesterday looked bad at moments in the first half, but seemed to get comfortable in the second. I’m sure it was hard for any linemen to drive anyone with the footing yesterday.

Sure looked like Levi did not have any cleats on because the defender virtually skated Levi back into Stanley. Blame the "shoe guy" kidding:cool:.

Levi had several good moments in that game. Hard to drive block in an ice rink.

Good kids but they have never been skinny.

I know they were both great wrestlers in High School ....So at least during the winter months they couldn't have been anywhere near 300 lbs? I'm not sure isn't the heaviest weight class about 275??
