Lute was an upgrade over Schultz, Davis an upgrade over Raveling....that is part of history.

No UIowa coach could recruit talent like George. Ravs was better than most credit him. I was amazed how much of the day to day “coaching” Schultz did for Miller. Fran was an upgrade over Lickliter.

The next hire could be worse or better than fran. I’m willing to bet a coach that prioritizes defense and guards will fare better than fran.
Fran is never going to get better at Iowa. He has maxed out.
