Pittsburgh - Syracuse

I hope that you are right......but if you sit and think about it, can you tell me with 100% certainty that undefeated Utah, TCU, (or Baylor), Florida St. and a 1 loss SEC Champion Alabama don't get in over undefeated Iowa? Are you FOR SURE, because I am not.

Utah and FSU both already lost.

13-0 Iowa is 98% in. Don't sweat it.

Win the rest of our games. Actually, that's all that ever matters. Even if Pitt were to win the rest of their games and end the season with one loss if Iowa were to lose somewhere down the line, they don't get in.
Exactly.

Strength of schedule is a complete non-factor for Iowa. Win the rest of their games and they are in the playoffs. Lose one and they are not. It is not that hard. I don't understand why some fans keep harping on schedule strength.

Pitt. lost at home, there goes that quality non-conference win Iowa needed, now what ?

Gee, there goes the season I guess. No point in going 13-0 now.

Pitt is still a heck of a lot better than Virginia Tech and even slightly better than Oregon. Baylors non conference? Please... Pitt will also get back into the Top 25 if they knock off Notre Dame next week.

I don't know if they at a "heck of a lot" better than Virginia Tech- they beat them 17-13. Oregon? My goodness did they get a gift last night in the 3rd OT. No idea how the refs upheld that TD catch after review.
