This popped into my head reading another post.
Why not require all power 5 teams(and any other team that wants to have a shot at cfp) to play a non conference power 5 team in the final 2-3 weeks? It's no playoff...but seems like a good way to gauge which conferences are best towards the end of the year and get a better grasp of REAL SOS. Doesn't add any extra games to the already increasing schedules and still leaves room for 2-3 non conference games before conference play starts.
Good idea? Idiotic? Dreaming?
