Got it. My phone sucks though so I can't use the camera feature.

My favorite story thus far is people flooding into a police station in Australia to do a gym battle.

I never was a pokemon guy but this is kinda cool. Interesting social network/VR idea.

By augmented reality gaming standards this is as good as it is right now. Add that with a free game on a platform that millions can access, it has become very popular. I don't think they anticipated so many users to download as their servers have been crashing a lot. A lot of users will move away from it in the next few days as casuals become bored with it.

I've been on it a little bit, but I still find the 3DS versions much better and complete. Unless it gives a better battle aspect, people will probably be not coming back after a while.

Yeah the battle system is almost univiting if anything. Too repetitive and it's basically spamming without knowing what's happening half the time.

It takes a little while to grasp all the battling aspects.

However, that's one of the points I keep hearing about why it differs from the console games. If it were similar it would pretty much drive people away from that platform and onto this mobile game, which wouldn't be good for them considering they have another series coming out soon.

The open world aspect is the best thing they have going but they're treating this as a stepping stone.

I was at the Pedmall last night, there was somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 people running around trying to catch Pokemon downtown. It was crazy seeing groups of people just wandering around playing this game. I think it will end soon because the game content isn't rich enough to keep them playing but I feel like they have definitely hit on a very good innovation.

My stepson is obsessed. Great potential for this type of game, but I never got the draw of Pokemon. Then again I'm getting old.

My daughter and I just downloaded this game. I live a block away from a park. It's funny walking over to the park and somebody has dropped a lure at the park sign, and seeing these groups of people with their phones out walking towards it.

I love the idea and I think a lot of games will now be developed in this vein.

If I were a pedophile looking to kidnap a kid, this would be a tool to lure them somewhere.

Okay, the excitement wore off....deleted app last night

I think I figured out why my neighbor's kid and some random friend were walking around my backyard yesterday with their phones in their faces while I was mowing. I've never been so confused while performing lawn maintenance. Never see this kid at all, but all of the sudden they're in every yard walking around with their phones. Strange stuff. I was going to ask them "WTF?" but they seemed harmless enough.
