Living long enough to successfully launch my kids.
The giant cluster fuq of a country/planet we’re leaving them.

The climate has ALWAYS been in a constant state of change. There is no "normal" and suggesting that there's a dial humanity can turn to control the climate is nucking futs.
Lol you still don’t get it do you .YES. The climate has always changed over time , but those changes happen GRADUALLY over hundreds or thousands of years …not in a couple decades like we’re seeing now . How do you not get this ?!?!

Because it's bullshit.

Ok. Well it’s hard to argue your irrefutable propaganda then…
Hope you don’t have young children or grandchildren because if you think things are bad now , wait ten or twenty more years ….

climate change and global warming, deforestation ,
With no planet you can forget about the rest…not sure people realize how much rising sea levels would cripple the world . Take some time To educate yourselves on how many large cities would be affected and it’s pretty scary. Imagine those people displaced and forced to move and what that massive disruption would do to surrounding countries etc…
You need a Xanax.

At my age I worry about unexpected and sudden changes in my health which would make me a burden to my children. That's the last thing I want. Although I'm in good health right now, it makes me very tight with my savings so that if I need to be in some facility in ten years I can pay my way. Heck in ten years I might be assigned to the Soylent Green factory.

I do have a lot of concern about the direction of our wonderful country and what it will be like for my grandchildren. Not feeling real positive about it at the moment.

Question…are you for handing those children and grandchildren trillions of insurmountable debt with things like the $3.5 trillion they’re trying to spend now? Or, is it only climate that’s bad to leave down to them?

I’m genuinely interested. Because quite often with people “worry about the grandkids” for one thing, they’re totally fine with screwing them over with other things. You’re against these massive spending plans, correct?

I'm against out of control spending on stuff that doesn't matter for sure. I happen to agree with spending on climate related issues. Seems that issue may be worth spending a few bucks on. I am well aware that govt is wasteful and alot of the spending is BS. However, something as important as combating climate change should not be ignored. The clock is ticking......

If mankind's civilization had flourished just a few thousand years earlier, can you imagine how much upheaval would have accompanied the inundation of Doggerland?

Climate change, AINEC. Unless we make drastic changes to ameliorate it, nothing else really matters. Life on our planet hangs in the balance.

I've had some health scares in the last year which has forced me to face my mortality for the first time. Things are much better but the hint of worry is still always present.

Well, only one choice so went with family issues. To me the biggest break down of our society has been the destruction of the nuclear family. From that most other problems we are facing seem to stem from,...crime, education, welfare, etc.

These days it’s a few things really…

Spiders crawling into my shoes at night and biting me when I put them on in the morning.

Spiders crawling into my mouth at night when I sleep.

Spiders nesting in my cupboards behind my Star Wars cups.

Cancer

Not having the knowledge of knowing which spiders are most likely to jump at me when on the wall or ground.

Walking through spider webs going to my car in the morning then thinking I have a spider in my collar or my hair the rest of the day.

lucas80’s kids

That’s about it really.

Stomp on the toes of your shoes and then bang them on the floor before you put them on.

If that were true, life on earth is,l indeed doomed. This is the idiotic type of thinking that prompted Jane Goodall to state that: "Isn't it bizarre that the most intelligent animal to have ever walked our planet is destroying its only home?"

He doesn't understand that climate shouldn't change at the rate that it is happening now!
Apparently it's too hard a concept to accept.

Dems are doing their best to ensure it.

Stupidly false. It is the GOP that is:
  • Spreading a false narrative that our elections are not secure.

  • Making multiple and aggressive efforts to overturn the results of free and fair elections.

  • Threatening violence against election official -- usually from their own party -- who refuse to overturn the results of free and fair elections.

  • Defending or turning a blind eye to an attack on our Capitol by MAGATS who refused to accept the result of a free and fair election. The only attempted coup in any of our lifetimes.
This is a coordinated movement designed to throw away any election results not to their suiting. To ignore this, or pretend it does not exist, is to be naïve at best and a traitor at worst.

Do you not have Long Term Car Insurance to cover most of this health worry? And no I am not an insurance agent or sell it. I plan to get it when I am about 60.
