The Sport of Kings is a tough sport.
Am I not understanding the article? This was an undercard race but also says the horse was scheduled to run in the Preakness
"It leaves just seven horses in the race, including another Baffert entry, National Treasure."
I think they’re were seven racing before today. I think they’re misspoken on the horse racing double dooty
They’re not pets so just kill them?Horses break down, nobody likes it and nobody likes seeing it. They’re not pets though.
They’re not pets so just kill them?
Ok?Keep in mind, horse racing or not, horses will continue to exist and they'll break their legs and thus will continue be euthanized.
But what would all of the millionaires do with all of their excess money?Probably a unpopular opinion, but I think by now society should have moved past using animals for sport.
It's amazing with all of today's technology there hasn't been a breakthrough of a way to treat broken legs in horses. If a horse breaks its leg, it cannot recover. Euthanasia is the most-humane thing that can be done.
Ok?
Would fewer horses break their legs and be euthanized in the absence of racing? Yes or no.
🤷♂️Depends on whether recreational horse riding is outlawed, too.
🤷♂️
That response makes no sense.
The problem here is domesticated animals.
But race horses break a lot more legs than non racers. They're bred for it.Keep in mind, horse racing or not, horses will continue to exist and they'll break their legs and thus will continue be euthanized.

So is everything all or nothing with you?So, if betting on the ponies is outlawed, will people still ride them recreationally? If so, they'll continue to have injuries and deaths.
The REAL result of outlawing horse racing will mean fewer horses because you remove a major motivation to breed horses.
Do you think anyone is breeding greyhounds anymore?
You think you're making such a profound point, don't you?Keep in mind, horse racing or not, horses will continue to exist and they'll break their legs and thus will continue be euthanized.
It’s so stupid it’s not even a good troll. You think you're making such a profound point, don't you?
There would be no fewer horses bred if racing went away
