We watched two different Hawkeye teams this year. One that tried to outscore everyone and defense was an after thought. Then we saw the February and after Hawkeyes. It’s unusual to see such a change so far into a season.

But those losses taught the team something they needed to learn. Without those losses, Iowa wouldn’t be as prepared for the tournament as it is.

Now, they need to apply the defensive pressure from the opening tip and still be an offensive powerhouse.

I don't remember any team ever changing so much, and so quickly.

Maybe we should play all of our games like that...
