Loving FDUs guards. Damn they are fun to watch

He didn't blow by Iowa, he was getting screens from Edey and Fran doesn't want his bigs to pick up fouls defending screens properly so we we're just letting the guards get picked.
FDs little pg blew up purdues offense by getting right over there screens and Smith couldn't go anywhere.

After they choked on me last year getting beat by St. Peters, I expected them to lose early. I think I had
them to Sweet16 and out because too risky to say Fairleigh Dickinson would knock them out.
Edey is good, but you can't surround him with YMCA talent.

Maybe Fran should watch the tape of Fairleigh and then review his team's defense vs Purdue this year.
B1G doesn't have to decide. Any coach can inside the B1G can optimize their roster for NCAA. With B1G getting 8 or 9 bids, you only have to finish in top half. Nobody cares if you finish 2nd thru 9th as long as you do well in NCAA tourney.
I think he's quicker than Smith.
Smith would be an ok player off the bench but he can't be the fulltime main ballhandler.
Im hoping Harding is not the full time main ballhandler and it will be Bowen for the next 3 years.
He does have 2 or 3 B1G titles vs Iowa's 43 year drought, so there is that piece of hardware.
He can recruit better guards than Fran.
Thats the second mid major coach from the state that can say that.
