If it comes down to Trump vs Bernie or Hillary, will you make time to vote?

Did it bother you that Trump couldn't answer the healthcare question last night?

As trump pointed out, he could kill a guy and his supporters wouldn't care. They don't care that his lying makes all other politicians blush, they don't care that he buys into more urban legends than your crazy uncle, they certainly don't care that he offers no policy details.

Why would they care that he's ignorant of anything having to do with government?

He did. He said he'd "keep pre-existing conditions" [I assume he meant he'd retain the ACA ban on the exclusion], he'd do away with state lines [translation: I assume he wants interstate competition], and nobody was going to be left "dying on the street." [apparently Cruz and Rubio wanted to quibble on this point]. What did the other dopes say? I have no idea.

A lead-lined vault is more transparent than Hilary Clinton is.
I would bet if either of us was inclined to look into it objectively we would find that Hillary is one of the most open and public candidates for President ever. She has been living under the microscope for a quarter century.

Trump has admitted he's as slimy as hillary. Why don't you believe him?
He may be, but do you know how many heads would explode if the Donald were elected Prez? Thats the reason I'll vote for him- PEV is the only position I care about.

Look I think he has a general idea of what he wants. He wants there to be competition across state lines in order to drive costs down. At the same time, he does think people that can't afford healthcare should be covered. I think his term "people dying in the streets" is a bit extreme. He is essentially saying the government will cover these people. I get that and I don't disagree with it.

Because IowaHawkeyeFBnBB4Life appears to be more than just a casual fan. I figured the more a person paid attention, the more these shortcomings might bother them. I mean if I don't look too close at Trump, I like his trade plan a lot. But then when I look at his tax policy, I don't see his trade plans for tariffs reflected. So the details make me pause. Then when he can't get into details on other issues like healthcare, i start to see a pattern. And at this point in the game I tend to think that pattern isn't just that he hasn't flushed it all out, but that he is hiding and dishonest.

Does a cat have an ass? Is the Pope a Catholic? Does Prince Albert come in a can? I think the question you need to ask is can a Democrat vote for him based on the offerings they are forced to choose from...

You seem to be pimping Hillary pretty hard today. Have you always been a supporter of hers?

Rubio had a pretty detailed answer about health savings accounts, Carson too. Trump however just wanted to remove state lines, a peculiarly popular notion for the party of small federal government. If you keep the pre existing clause, without keeping the mandate, you have problems. If you state you won't let people go without care, but refuse to say how you will provide for their care, you haven't answered the question.

Yes but everybody who would testify against her is swimming with the fishes, so to speak.

Well, based on what I see on my facebook feed most democrats are shocked/embarrassed for their country that he's made it this far. So no, I don't think too many of them will be voting for him.

What is PEV? Hillary, Sanders, Carson and Cruz would all make heads explode too. Rubio would even make people explode. If you're just voting for an entertainer to keep the news interesting until GoT returns let us know so we can take your comments in that light.

No, I'm just resigning myself to the realistic options. There are lots of policy reasons to be against Hillary, but frankly she's the sort of representative I want. One that will look at the polls and do what the people tell her.

OK, so if he leaves us with Obamacare but expands it to take over the state insurance regulatory duties so that we have one national insurance board you are now happy with Obamacare? Somehow I never got that this was the main objection. I thought the main objection was that the federal government was forcing this on people at all. But Trump wants the federal government to do even more and now you're happy?

PEV = Pure Entertainment Value

You mean to tell me that Prince Albert doesn't mean genital piercing?

I'll be holding my nose but in place of Hillary? Absolutely. It's time to break the cycle of people like her getting into office. She's an absolute sleeze.

Was reading a piece in USA Today today about "preference falsification." Basically, people keep their unpopular views, preferences to themselves for fear of "punishment" of some kind. Writer's point was that this fear is weakening. His example was academics being subjected to chants of "Trump Trump Trump" by students when they subject the kids to PC nonsense. The writer make the points that a Trump tidal wave could be coming if this preference falsification disappears.

I'm a registered Repub but there is no way I will vote for Trump or Cruz. I'm not wild about Rubio but see him as the lesser of the evils. I pray there is a 3rd party candidate if Trump gets the nomination.

I'll give you public, but open? Really?? Only when a subpoena is involved.
