Question from 2014 and if it will happen again this year..

From what I remember in 2014 Iowa and our fans and a vast majority of media thought Iowa was safely in. Clearly that wasn't the case as they went to Dayton.. The committee specifically cited recent play for where they ended up. Iowa's resume at this point should be a 6 and worst case a 7. Any chance committee does the same thing this year and drops them to the 8-9 game for poor play down the stretch? I believe their criteria is that they look at last 12 games..

No we were never that high in RPI that year, we've been about 30 sports higher this year than we were in 2014.

I don't know a lot of experts on here think that we are lock for a 6 seed regardless of our outcome. I personally am a little worried. I realize we had a great year and beat some top teams, but those games were all played back in early January. There has been a lot of bad basketball played since then. I think the way we finished and the "eye" test that the committee has seen recently will reflect in our seed. I think we have the resume for a 6-7 seed, I just think they will punish us by our poor play down the stretch and drop us to an 8. Just my opinion. Our RPI is still pretty high considering we have two bad losses. I have heard everything from they use RPI to they do not even look at it. The bubble is weak as ever, there are no mid majors this year.

Every year the committee is a little different and I am hoping for a 6 seed, I just do not see it, with our recent play. Our performance on the court has been down right disgusting.
