Quinnipiac Polls: Trump takes lead in Michigan and Wisconsin

Historically, markets do better under Dem Presidents than Rs.

the S&P 500 has achieved a median one-year return of 12.9% under Democratic presidents and 9.9% under Republican presidents.
History is not a prediction of the future:). Trump’s policies will be more pro business, which will be more favorable for the stock market.

I think it is sadly going to be close and if I were forced to bet my retirement I would go with Trump. I hope to be wrong and turnout and passion will ensure Trump never is in Whitehouse again, but most of his base will be there lined up to vote for him because quite simply they are a cult and nothing else matters. I also frankly feel, that this nation simply isn’t ready to elect a black woman as president …. or even a white woman as president really.

To me, I kinda have a calm attitude about it all in terms of being a bit like “oh well we are a bunch of idiots and we deserve whatever comes from this” mixed in with some willingness to admit the Democrats screwed it up by not making sure Biden would not run again due to his age and having a legit primary where most likely a better candidate than Harris would’ve been selected. I mean, she has been OK and there have been some good moments, but overall, for this moment in time, she is not the greatest candidate.

Honestly, our democracy is possibly less threatened by him winning. If he loses there is no question that his supporters - including government officials at all levels - will be willing to use extra-legal means to overturn the results, with a precedent set that would be difficult to ever undue. Four years of his vengeance tour would be rough. But when it’s over our government will still be intact, and the GOP might well implode as a bunch of wannabes fight each other to be the heir.

You serious? If he wins he will never leave. Until he dies he will run America like Putin. We absolutely cannot have him win.

Listen to your posts, all about and full of shit.

I see we have another poster who doesn’t understand the impact Trump’s tariffs policies will have.

Hint, Trump will reignite inflation…bigly. This is not even debatable. His policies, if implemented, would be a disaster for the US economy.

Much less mass deportation of the people picking our produce, processing our meat, etc. want to pay 10 bucks for a tomato or orange? Vote for Trump

DeSantis's anti-immigration bill cost the state 12 Billion in the first year...but he owned the libs. I'm sure Trad and Goldmom will be along shortly to say it's wrong

FWIW, WSJ polls today wobble back a bit from yesterday's polls, though before anybody gets excited either way about them, note that they're RV polls rather than LV polls, and over a relatively long (10 day) period.

I would bet money it would. Trump is a threat to the US Constitution.

In your version of reality, does Trump's 10-20% across the board tariff policy not exist or do they actually help the economy?

Something tells me when you were a younger Hans, you were more of a free market guy, now that you're older and more comfortable using your imagination, I'm curious how you use it.

No, you were acting like I was talking out of my ass, well some was, but I first replied to him about his list of complete bullshit with links showing how incorrect he was

A majority of the "brothas" didn't grow up like Kamala, nor did they go to college with her,... Barack is disconnected.

Yet you want us to believe a guy who came out of the womb with a silver spoon in his mouth is someone who can relate to the average American and their financial hardships?

They're already saying companies are getting ready to raise prices if Trump wins because of his tariffs. And of course if he does not 1 person that works w/him will be strong enough to tell him it's the dumbest idea he's ever had.
