RFK: "FDA's war on public health is about to end"

It your kids will get it, then you’ll want us to pay for their treatment.

Is there any part of you that thinks eliminating these afflictions (measles, polio, etc.) was actually good public policy?
Treatment for measles? You stay home and take a few sick days, like the kids did in the 60's. Vitamin A is also a big help.

It's good public policy to do the proper safety testing in the first place. It's good public policy to give proper informed consent, and let people make their own choice as to what they do with their kids.

Removal of immunity for the drug companies is the key. The market will force the improvements like it does for every other product on the planet. If/when a vaccine can be better made then there will be less hesitancy and we can start getting the vaccination rates back up.

Pretty simple huh?

You did t answer my question.

Proper safety tests are used, and there is little hesitancy outside of the nutcases. That social media provides nutcases a great platform to capture the naive is the problem; not a lack of safety.

Hesitancy is growing, and if RFK gets his way, it will probably get a substantially bigger. Something will have to be done about the safety.

FWIW, I have always advocated for at least going back to the 80's schedule, where we had DTP (change to DTaP), polio, and MMR. I believe the biggest problems came about when we exploded the schedule in the 90's.

‘Little’ hesitancy? 90% of HCW’s in nursing homes are taking a hard pass on covid jabs.

Coverage with COVID-19 vaccination among health care personnel in nursing homes decreased from 22.8% during the 2022–23 respiratory virus season to 10.5% during the 2023–24 respiratory virus season (6). During the same period, COVID-19 vaccination coverage among health care personnel in acute care hospitals decreased from 17.8% to 15.3%. (cdc.gov)

Time will tell.
If RFK is going to get chemicals out of our food, change the way vaccines are developed, etc. then what we are talking about is NEW regulation. Plus some type of body to oversee the companies. It’s not like RFK can say “don’t use roundup” and trust that big ag will just go along with it.

The problem with that is the very people that are negatively impacted by RFK are wealthy Republican donors who run those companies. They hate regulation, hate losing money and are Trump’s closest allies. If Trump sees RFK as interfering with Trump’s GOP supporters or Trump’s bottom line he will sideline him in a heartbeat.

What does he need donors for now? He's run his last race.

RFK is a nut job, but I'd be on board with following Europe's lead on banning certain ingredients and dyes in our food supply.

As for drugs/vaccines, we need to follow the scientific evidence rather than random people from the Joe Rogan podcast.

Washington was pro vax

Inoculation but the point stands.

Could you imagine being a soldier at Valley Forge standing in line to have a dude's smallpox puss spore scraped off, cut open your arm with a knife, and rub the puss into your blood? Can't argue the results...

In my opinion, this stuff with big pharm could be super awesome or go horribly wrong. I'm quite positive there will be unintended consequences and am leaning towards the latter but am hopeful for cleaner food, cheaper meds and healthier people.

You think those folks don’t have a tangled set of relationships? That they don’t have their hooks into the Donald one way or the other? You honestly believe that Trump is out for the everyday Joe and won’t be mostly lining his pockets and that of his family?

They helped put him back in office and they are going to want their pound of flesh.

I am out of ****s to give about the uneducated and dumb mother ****ers in the US having major health issues over RFK dismantling the FDA. I will take care of my family.
"(People) in the US having major health issues over RFK dismantling the FDA"? You don't get health issues over dismantling the FDA.

Go for it. Burn it down. What the heck has the Food and Drug Administration ever done to protect Americans? No ****s given.

My hope here is he focuses on food, pesticides and water first and foremost. Get that cleaned up then have at it with big pharma.
The connection between America's chronic disease and obesity epidemic to 90% of the food we're eating is obvious for anyone that cares to learn.

So natural…what is this “problem” you and Kennedy are so concerned about? Is there a plague somewhere I am not aware of? Advise me, please…
