Excellent post. I’m going to borrow it from you.Can you imagine Cabinet level meetings with all these lunatics in the room, led by the lunatic in chief? Rubio will be the only sane one at the table. What a Confederacy of Dunces.

I completely changed the way I ate about 35 years ago. Grew up overseas, and back in the US started organic gardening. Then when I could get pastured meats, I did.If anyone is interested here’s a synopsis of a pretty good podcast on the subject of what we put in our food amongst other things.
Started me on my healthy eating kick fwiw

I never did so non applicable. Not what you posted, but, okay. Michelle Obama was roasted by you guys when she tried to make school lunches better.
You were way ahead of the game!I completely changed the way I ate about 35 years ago. Grew up overseas, and back in the US started organic gardening. Then when I could get pastured meats, I did.
Makes a difference, plus it was really cool to make pizza dough, go out in the garden and pick the ingredients to use. Etc. I won’t bore y’all. You get the drift.
I’m absolutely in favor of strong conversation about how the American diet is on the whole full of things we have no business eating and especially feeding to our children.
And food aid programs ( Food stamps/WIC) that allow unlimited sugary sodas and cookies, etc. are the product of those food companies who pay lobbyists a 💩ton of money to keep it that way. The lobbying of lawmakers and the campaign donations to lawmakers on behalf of Big Pharma ought to be exposed and outlawed.
But saying that vaccines for childhood prevention of disease is dangerous - and a person with no medical or scientific research background doesn’t belong in a position of influence or power.
Bobby obviously believes what he’s saying but you know Ethel made sure he got his polio shot as a kid. No way should he advise Americans to do differently.
Honest question.
Why is he a bad pick?
0/10Amazing news. Love to see this as a father of young children. Reform is needed in a major way.
Removing pharma ads on tv seems a-ok to me. From my understanding pharma ads are not allowed to advertise on TV in most other nations?
If you want to support the autism causing vaccines like hep B then that's your perogative but once again I will remind you that you're in the minority and this is what people voted for.0/10
If vaccines were as dangerous as people like you like to say it is, then I should have run into at least one example of someone, somewhere, being killed by a vaccine.Which argumentative fallacy is that one again?
Link?If you want to support the autism causing vaccines like hep B then that's your perogative but once again I will remind you that you're in the minority and this is what people voted for.
all that shit is true.I guess I'd say its way more than just vaccines. Exhibit A -J
So....... maybe a bit more than just "nutty on vaccines"
- vaccines are behind an "epidemic" of diseases in America
- major U.S. media outlets are being run by undercover CIA operatives
- The new head of NPR is a CIA agent
- He admitted to decapitating a beached whale and collecting its head
- Kennedy has also touted the effectiveness of raw milk and ivermectin as COVID cures
- Wi-Fi causes cancer and "leaky brain,"
- Antidepressants are to blame for school shootings
- Chemicals in the water supply could turn children transgender
- AIDS may not be caused by HIV
- claims that 5G networks are being used for mass surveillance (meta data for advertising, probably)
That all ignores the bear "thing", the brain eating worm, and as only the first search I did. Pretty sure there is more out there.
Only the best. Do you really wanna try to defend this selection? At all? Or just effing condemn it like a sane person would?
Except ‘she’ isn’t the head of HHS. Xavier Becerra is.Except that person is highly qualified....
After graduating from Harvard College and Tulane University School of Medicine, ADM Levine completed her training in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at the Mt. Let's think about this for a sec. Let's say a vaccine actually did cause a death of someone you knew. As a vaccine injury denier, are you (or the many like you) going to feel compelled to properly attribute cause of death? How would they know?If vaccines were as dangerous as people like you like to say it is, then I should have run into at least one example of someone, somewhere, being killed by a vaccine.
Ah, the anecdotal fallacy:If vaccines were as dangerous as people like you like to say it is, then I should have run into at least one example of someone, somewhere, being killed by a vaccine.
Yeah, vaccines do cause autism. Everyone should have acknowledged that by now if they're capable of critical thinking, and if everything goes as it should most people will acknowledge that soon. Be patient.Link?
Personally, I think the 'solution' to the vaccine conundrum is pretty simple. Either eliminate, or probably more preferably, just scale back the scope of the Vaccine Injury Compensation program to cover fewer products (and more narrowly define those that may be covered in the future), such that manufacturers of vaccines (i) have to sell their products to patients and doctors on their merits rather than being able to 'piggyback" on a federal recommendation process they can influence, and (ii) are on the hook directly for injuries that their vaccines cause. So if you think you've developed a great vaccine for a useful condition - fantastic! - sell it on its merits and put your money where your mouth is regarding its safety.Ah, the anecdotal fallacy:
The anecdotal fallacy is a common fallacy that occurs when someone uses a single experience or limited personal experience to draw a general conclusion about a topic.

Funny how people like him say the same when we talk about people we know who we feel were injured by vaccines.Ah, the anecdotal fallacy:

Any vaccine(s) that aren't properly tested are on the table, until they can be properly tested and proven otherwise.Which vaccines cause autism? Which vaccines do not? Is there a "safe list" ?
I'm still waiting on a lib to explain to me why children need 3 doses of the hepatitis b vaccine before they're a year old (or why an infant might contract hepatitis b at all..). They won't even accept a conversation that the risks may far exceed the rewards in these cases. Feet dug in.Yeah, vaccines do cause autism. Everyone should have acknowledged that by now if they're capable of critical thinking, and if everything goes as it should most people will acknowledge that soon. Be patient.
That's the thing. These people do a benefit analysis, rather than a cost/benefit analysis.I'm still waiting on a lib to explain to me why children need 3 doses of the hepatitis b vaccine before they're a year old (or why an infant might contract hepatitis b at all..). 100% of autistic people have looked at the moon. We should ban looking at the moon because it causes autism.Yeah, vaccines do cause autism. Cope.Population density maps look similar to that one. Do factor for empty land vs where humans live.
Why do you think the autism rate has grown drastically at the same time the vaccine schedule has increased substantially? Coincidence? Lunar cycles? Fluoride in the water?100% of autistic people have looked at the moon. We should ban looking at the moon because it causes autism.
The majority of people that smoke 2 packs of cigarettes a day don’t have autism. We should encourage people to smoke two packs of cigarettes a day. 2 packs a day keeps the autism away.

You forget the best part. Supposed health nut has been using steroids for decades. Granted it might be in a low dosage under Dr. supervision. It’s still something that is in no way healthy for your body. With full disclosure that I'm a pharma industry schill by day, let me start by saying that RFK is a wack-job. Just a wack job. On many levels.
With that said...
1. Of all of the wack jobs that have been nominated so far, at least he's someone who's a sincere wack job about the issues he may oversee, and has been at it for a while. And there are a few areas like the food pyramid where a little shakeup may be appropriate (though honestly, isn't that a DoA issue?).
2. I do get a certain chuckle about the fact that when obama floated him, Politico fawned over the idea... https://www.politico.com/story/2008/11/obama-considers-stars-for-cabinet-015320
3. Another chuckle worthy moment will be watching democratic senators vote against a Kennedy. Perhaps an appropriate coda for a brand that is long past its sell by date.
Finally, a broader comment. The reality is that you don't want or need a medical person to run HHS. Not any more. FDA, NIH, PHS, and CDC is where you want medical people. At HHS, the primary job is managing the enormity of what the government spends on health care and how it regulates its delivery. What you should really want is an insurance company executive.
I don’t have the faintest idea. Just pointing out that correlation does not equal causation. I’m sure a Harvard man such as yourself understands that. There have been numerous statistically significant studies that show there is not a definitive link. They want to be told what to think/do.
Cope.

I was being sarcastic.
