Rise and shine!

It’s a huge day Hawkeye fans.

Both men and women with a chance to punch their tickets to sweet 16. Quite unbelievable actually.

Men vs Tennessee 11:15a CBS
Women vs Missouri 1:00p ESPN2

Say a couple extra prayers to the big guy and let’s hope for the best!! :D:D:D

Worst scheduling of all time. How do they not offset the start times. They give a battle of 12vs13 a 8:40 time spot. I realize it’s on the west coast, but damn I’m guessing a lot of people would of gone to the girls game if the men’s game wasn’t right before it.

We’re going to carver, gonna follow along on phone/tablet until we get into the arena. Any chance they show it on the Jumbotron or TVs on the concourse?

The NCAA thinks they're cute pairing these potential womens matchups that managed to happen:

Iowa State vs Missouri State
Iowa vs Missouri

They didn't show it last game so I doubt they show it this time see.ed like half the arena was following along on the March madness app watching the live stream. They didn't even announce the men had won once they did. My dad says it could be something to do with the NCAA and restrictions cause like the announcer can't show bias etc, so maybe they feel that would make the crowd come alive or something

I’m sure there are reasons why they can’t show it. I just think the NCAA/TV have to be a little smarter when setting start times.

CBS has exclusive rights till 6pm for both 2nd round days. They claim they show the best audience draws for the 2nd round. It also gives the other channels an opportunity to draw good primetime ratings. Ratings is all they care about and why expect any different. That is what they are in the broadcasting business for. 2nd round scheduling has also been exactly like this year for several years now. Not sure how this is a surprise to anyone?
