I've actually mentioned this to other friends. Jake and Vandenberg are/were two highly intellegent QB's that I felt over thought things on the football field.

Harbaugh is one stubborn SOB. This love affair at Michigan may be short lived. There was a reason San Fran was happy to see him go.

The fans of sanfran were not at all happy , the ownership was.

It will go down as a move on par with the cowboys letting Jimmy Johnson go and the Bulls letting Phill Jackson go.

Michigan is clearly very much improved over last year already.

Yeah the fullback just ran ahead into the second level without touching a soul. Meanwhile two Utah guys went right by him for the tackle. If he even chips on one of those guys, the RB can bounce that to the left outside and his momentum alone gets the first down.

It's obvious Rudock just doesn't have the talent. Utah is a very good team. But Michigan offense looked very similar to Iowa all of last year. Michigan's OLine didn't help out at all.

im not sure i understand this post. jr started for another B1G team and was not impressive, to say the least. will cj look better in the hawks first game? i really dont know if cjb will be an improvement over jr last year for the hawks but i think we have seen the best of jr and are hoping that cjb has a higher ceiling.

Enjoy Rudock, Michigan. He was always a mediocre QB. I had originally hoped he'd be the next Ricky Stanzi, but that clearly never played out.

Looking forward to see if CJ has improved at all this Saturday.

I realize it is petty to take enjoyment out of seeing Rudock flop at Michigan...but it serves Harbaugh right....he swoops in late to take KF's RB recruit and then take's KF's 2nd string QB. Rudock will be a very successful young man and has a bright future, but not in Football. CJ had the better upside...CJ may end up running for his life with porous OL, and no QB can win with a defense like the one that played UT in bowl game.

Don't know about the RB, but Jake chose to go to Michigan. He was going to leave Iowa no matter what and Michigan came calling as a result.

But yeah, UM's o-line hasn't been good for some time now. Doesn't look like they improved/upgraded much in the off-season either.
We'll see how Iowa's OL fares in their first contest compared to Michigan's, even though there's a difference in the opponents each will have faced.

Rough night for JR but I still think he will have a good season. Utah is one of the better defenses that Michigan will see all year and they couldn't run the ball. JR's numbers will look better next week and it looks like Harbaugh is confident in him.
