Russian Invasion YESTERDAY! - How Did It Go?

Our state governor and legislature is corrupt as hell. Totally bought and paid for.
Corruption seems to have gotten a lot worse in the US in recent years.

I mean there's always been corruption, but it feels like we may have crossed a threshold.

Yep. He helped to bring down Gorbachev - paving the way for Putin - and armed and funded what would become the Taliban.

Kudos to Reagan and the GOP for such amazing choices.
Mainly, Reagan canceled out the large increases in tax revenue by cutting a deal with Tip to increase military and domestic spending. Essentially, Reagan bought the poker pot.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on Wednesday cast doubt on claims by Russia that it's drawing down some of its 150,000 troops along the border with Ukraine, saying that "at the moment, we have not seen any withdrawal of Russian forces."

It was actually worse in the 19th century.... here's an example.

https://www.history.com/news/gilded-age-corruption-corporate-wealth

“This is a government of the people, by the people and for the people no longer,” former president Rutherford B. Hayes wrote in his diary in 1886. “It is a government by the corporations, of the corporations and for the corporations.” Politicians took spectacularly handsome bribes from corporations and demanded kickbacks as the helping hand they extended often came with an open palm.

Railroads propelled the expansion of the American economy as tracks expanded nearly fourfold between 1871 and 1900. The federal government helped finance these huge infrastructure projects by granting more than 150 million acres of land to railroad companies, which sold them to raise revenue. “Railroads need monopoly franchises and subsidies, and to get them, they are more than willing to bribe public officials,” White says. The Central Pacific Railroad, for example, spent $500,000 annually in thinly disguised bribes between 1875 and 1885.

In the most notorious instance of corruption connected to the railroads, Union Pacific Railroad executives formed a sham construction company, Crédit Mobilier, that submitted bills for nearly double the construction cost of the eastern portion of the Transcontinental Railroad and pocketed the overcharges. To avert any investigation and ensure votes to benefit the company, railroad officials bribed approximately one dozen influential congressmen with Crédit Mobilier shares at below-market prices. Swept up in the Crédit Mobilier scandal was not just Ulysses S. Grant’s first vice president, but his second one as well.

All the troop buildup was a smokescreen for cyber attacks. That's the new narrative, though not stated exactly like that.

Another sign it is about to start? Russia claims graves found! (Yeah, right.)

"Russia's Investigative Committee claimed on Wednesday that mass graves of hundreds of Russian-speaking civilians had been found in the Donbas region, as the Russian government continued to accuse Ukraine of genocide and human rights violations in Donbas."

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on Wednesday cast doubt on claims by Russia that it's drawing down some of its 150,000 troops along the border with Ukraine, saying that "at the moment, we have not seen any withdrawal of Russian forces."
Hmmm! Stoltenberg? I wonder if NATO would benefit from any weapons sales. The bloc is not united. Fear must be pimped to corral the dissenters.

Or, you know, Russia is lying about withdrawal. That couldn't possibly be true though, right?

In this case it is pretty much Europe and the US agreeing on a Russian threat vs poisoner, assassin, dictator Putin. Also, Cheney isn't running the White House this time:)

Not at all. Does Putin ever lie?
Is there a politician that doesn't? And you just lied as well. Even though Ukraine is not a member of the NATO, nor does it or will it have the unanimous vote of present members to join the club, $2.7B worth of weapons have been bestowed on Ukraine (at taxpayer expense) and the Natoization has marched forward. So yeah, that warmaking bureaucracy has benefited.

This is not true at all. The Austrians, Bulgaria, Croatia, France and Germany are not onboard. Cheney isn't running the WH, but, his protege, Victoria Nuland is near the top of Foggy Bottom. She's the one who staged the putsch at Maidan.

Did NATO /Washington violate the agreement not to expand NATO east of Germany or not? Do you not understand what indivisibility of security means?

Of course they are on board-the leaders of these countries are in constant contact as is the military leadership.

Nope. Did you see Olaf on the stage with Biden last week? He is not onboard.

Europe is falling behind and sees its future with Eurasia. That do not desire to see energy costs blow up 30% because Washington wishes it so.

In 2008 the EU’s economy slightly exceeded America’s: $16.2 trillion against $14.7 trillion. By 2020, the U.S. economy had grown to $20.9 trillion, whereas the EU’s had fallen to $15.7 trillion. The former major general in the People’s Liberation Army Air Force Qiao Liang’s studies brilliantly pointed out that Washington is ruling through a weaponised dollar. The world’s primary reserve currency accounts for about 60% of official foreign exchange reserves, while the euro for only 21%. Sadly smiling, one could remember the 2000’s Saddam’s switch from the dollar to the euro for oil trading. It was an attempt to rebuke Washington’s hard-line on sanctions and encourage Europeans to challenge it. We know how it ended.

You mean the Olaf who went to the Ukraine and then Russia? The Olaf Biden has talked to several times in the past few days.

What a jag off! Invasion didn't happen, so he's flipping the script. He's worried about this gun-toting Islamaphobe from Yale in a country he cannot control. All the while, he's doing his level best to have Julian Assange rot in jail for revealing crimes of the state. He is silent on Steven Donziger who is under house arrest for over 900 days for successfully defending the indigenous in Ecuador against Chevron in a muti-billion $$$ lawsuit. Alex Saab, diplomat of Venezuela was kidnapped for seeking to feed his people by skirting unlawful sanctions meant to starve Venezuelans.

Shouldn't you be building a field hospital somewhere right now comrade?

What did Germany tell the Baltics when they tried to give their German sourced military gear to Ukraine?
Nein! Das ist verboten!
