Agreed. I have never heard a bad word about the kid. I realize some might take my criticism of him the wrong way. I always appreciate "good Hawkeyes". I really think he is a great kid and a good team mate. I always hope these players don't read these boards.

While I really do try not to be too negative on players and prospects, I do try to be honest in regards to talent and play. That doesn't always come off appearing that way to many people and I'm sure it would be hard to read if you are the player or a family member or friend. The pitfalls of being a D1 athlete in a big time program. Lot's to hate about it and nearly all of it has to do with us idiot fans.

I've actually heard he is 4th.. Weigers and cook are/were performing better then him. And with Stanley coming in, who is said to be a steal at the qb position.

It's a lot easier to "hate" being a DI Athlete knowing your education is free, and the "other" kids are going to school, and working a job, and working out at the gym and going into big-time debt in the process. When you're an athlete of any kind, you just signed up for the praise and the criticism that comes with that, and you'd better be able to handle both. Life is hard, deal with it the best you can.

Another board it was right before the season, it was said they both had good fall camps. Just cook had the offense down a hair better. But for the most part I believe throughout the season they where treated as equal. But at this point it's set that weigers will take over once cjb leaves. And everybody will be calling for either cook or Boyle to be playing.. It's good we have multiple good qbs..

I think we are going to have to wait a few years for this to sort itself out. Weigers is going to be really freaking good. His arm has some pop, similar to CJ and from what I've heard...he's smart and accurate.

I did recently see Stanley was projected in rounds 2-3 of the mlb draft.. Kid has a 90mph fast ball.. And yes Stanley is the real deal.. I think after cjb leaves it will be weigers for 2 years then Stanley for 2..

If he is projected and actually is picked that high that will be a lot of money to turn down.
