I would never encourage someone to put down the Bible. However, you are correct that it was the Father’s will that Christ died on the cross. Without Christ’s shed blood, there is no hope for us. Romans chapters 1-3 show us how we all fall short of the glory of God and are all sinful. Thankfully for us, Christ’s righteousness was imputed (put on) to us and we no longer need to be sinless (once we have put our faith in the finished work of the cross).
