Sammy Sasso

Have you not listened to his "perfect phone call"? Have you not read what his lawyers plotted for overthrowing the election?

1.) The phone call is a perfect example of "innuendo".

2.) A memo written by someone else is hardly damning. Is there a memo floating around somewhere that has Trump telling Chesebro and/or Eastman to not only craft these "memos" but to formally put them into action?

One thing you guys seem to keep missing is I am NOT arguing for Trump's innocence. At many levels I think there definitely is some level of guilt. I am simply arguing that I do NOT see the OVERWHELMING evidence that many of you seem so certain exists...

If you take your heavily anti-Trump colored glasses off you may be able to actually see that there is no sand anywhere close to my well constructed and properly filled noggin!
Remember the old adage... When you have to tell people how great you are... you ain't great. Good day sir.

You calling that phone call an "innuendo" is a perfect example of what I referred to above where otherwise intelligent people will twist themselves into a pretzel to defend Trump's speech due to tribalism.

All of the evidence will be presented in court. He's legally innocent until proven guilty by a jury of the people. It has been grand juries that have already found that there is sufficient evidence to warrant an indictment. Based on what I've seen, heard, and read, there is overwhelming evidence and he will be found guilty as long as there aren't cultists on the jury.

You clearly don't see it that way. That's your prerogative. We will find out in a manner of time. Regardless of whether he's convicted of crimes or not, he undoubtedly attempted to overturn the election results. That should be terrifying for anyone pro democracy. You out yourself as a fascist by not condemning his prior and ongoing comments regarding the 2020 election.

The fact that 8/10 of the Republican candidates at the last debate said they'd still support Trump even if he were criminally convicted of a felony should be an eye opener that the GQP has become a maga cultist, fascist party.

When you can't notice levity and realize I am actually goofing on myself, I can't help you. Hell, I literally called myself a penis on the newly formed "political" thread...

Tribalism? I am NOT defending him. Hell, I clearly and specifically said that. But, please look up the definition of innuendo....

Also, STOP using "grand juries" as an example of ANYTHING close to proving there is "evidence". Look up the grand jury numbers for indictment, especially Federal. The case is presented to them by the DA WITHOUT anyone from the defense or even a presiding Judge to "rein" them in. To be CLEAR, if they take it in front of a Grand Jury it is going to end with an indictment, especially in a case as visible as this one...

Finally, STOP just throwing out names like Fascist and actually READ much of what I posted. I haven't endorsed the guy. In fact, I have clearly said he is a piece of shit and probably guilty at many levels. Just because I don't think there is the type of evidence to clearly convict him under our criminal structure, doesn't mean I support him in ANY way...

I didn't bring up politics. Nutjobs started defending Trump in this thread. It's way past time to let that go without calling out the lunacy.

I'm also not a liberal. I'm a moderate independent. I'm on team logic, reason, facts, and objectivity.

I generally despise almost all politicians and think they're almost all corrupt, lying, narcissistic, scumbags. However, the fascist ones are a new level of horrific and need to be condemned, voted out, and held to criminal accountability.
You actually said a few things there that don't make you seem like a nutjob.
Agree most politicians are scum who would sell the country out for their own personal gains.
I like to hear you are on "team logic" because with that and some other comments I'm sure you're on board with not supporting a politician who has been in office since 1973, with minimal accomplishments, lies on a regular basis, takes bribes from other countries and is corrupt as they get. #walkingcadaver

I'm curious if those who claim Trump being impeached is so horrible realize one of them was for questioning the corruption in Ukraine being tied to the Biden family? Almost like it was done solely for political reasons? Just like the 2nd one.

And when DAs run campaigns on the promises of indicting Trump it almost seems like a script being followed and the hope to make a name for themselves. Keep him occupied and bleeding cash to defend himself. F’n banana republic politics.

Can't speak for vodka, but I am 100% against Trump and I am also not in support of Biden. I did not vote for Biden in 2020 and I won't vote for him in 2024 either if he's the nominee. I have no issue saying that either.

But when discussing the crimes that Trump is accused of, it's weird that one of the most common defenses for him is "well Biden sucks too", as if it's impossible to admit that both are bad, or that you HAVE to vote Trump just because he's not Biden

Seems like you are trying to put words in my mouth... because I only spoke of a corrupt career politician.

Your "gotcha!" falls flat when I openly admit that I don't like Biden. But just to play along, who is this mystery politician to which you were referring?

You have to understand - these people you are discussing this with are the same people who believe in science and use a poll/consensus as proof of man made global warming and then extrapolate that to cataclysmic results. I admire your composure and persistence to continue in this thread.

Zero evidence? Let's see, the guy has been impeached twice, indicted four times, has 91 criminal charges against him, for financial shenanigans during the election when he hid his payments to his porn queens he had affairs with, stealing and hiding in his bathroom top secret documents from the government, trying to overthrow an election by inciting a riot to smash the capital and halt our free and fair election, and trying to overthrow an election in Georgia by illegal means. Yeah there's no evidence of any of that is there? Try checking out the indictments, there's thousands of pages of evidence.
Could you please stay focused and stay on track. I ONLY want evidence that he directed a "sedition" and that he wanted to "overthrow Georgia's election by illegal means". Telling an election official to "find the votes" is not equivalent to "creating bogus votes". If you can't stay on track, I won't respond to you. Your scatter gun tactics are childish.

How about some nutjob first brought up politics and started bashing Trump causing clear thinking folks to want to see the "evidence" that he is guilty. The evidence still hasn't been presented and I feel silly being sucked in to a conversation with a bunch of blind, partial idiots.

Testimony this week in federal court by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger reportedly contradicted claims that former President Donald Trump insisted he violate his oath of office by fabricating enough votes to win the state.

As Breitbart News has long noted, the media have misrepresented the January 2021 phone call between Trump and Raffensperger, quoting Trump as telling Raffensperger that he should “find” the votes necessary for him to win. In fact, Trump said “I just want to find” the votes, referring to his own state of mind. Moreover, the context was that Trump believed he actually had won the state of Georgia, and the votes simply had not been properly counted yet."
Let the tears flow.

Aside from your confused, misleading, and dramatic statement, now I'm just curious. Since you apparently don't "believe in science" or "rely on a poll or consensus", please enlighten me as to how you arrive at predictions or conclusions on such things. Objective data collected at the bar or local cafe? Your sixth sense? Fortune teller? Rubbing Grandpa's head? Mark Hall's T83 calculator? You should present your data/methods at the next science/climate convention, which I think is being hosted here in the Cesspool. Our survival (other than the 2 humans that get tickets on the next Ark) depends upon your improved methodology and predictions.

And a tried, convicted and fined sexual abuser.
I agree 1000% there, but I'm at least trying to find the easiest middle ground I can so didn't want to go there, because I truly don't think the two sides aren't as far apart as some people think

My comment was directed at MSU and I am sure he understands it totally. As for some of the others - I am guessing there is no chance of getting them to grasp the point I was trying to make.

I have to admit though, your post was clever and funny. Thanks for responding.

Interesting that you use Breitbart News as your source of “facts” concerning the phone call. Bretbart News is a right wing conspiracy site. Not news!

You need to be smart enough to recognize party politics. There was no "sedition". There was only a supportive demonstration that got too wound up and probably incited by Biden insiders. Nobody tried to overthrow the government and Trump was not directing them. Stop with the party hack blinders. You should be smarter than that.lol

They got it correct. Sorry it isn't what you zealously desired to hear. They reported what happened.

Breitbart is universally recognized, by those not in the cult, as a right wing spin factory with no sense of actual journalistic integrity. Just pandering to the wackos in the cult.

Good. Thank you for sticking your neck out there. Now provide documentation to prove your claim. Thank you in advance for not dodging my challenge.

Morning Joe for you I’m sure. Or maybe that other icon of objective information Joy Reid?
Yep nailed it…

Actually, I can’t remember the last time that I watched cable news. I couldn’t pick either of those people out of a lineup. In all honesty, I’ve spent much time and preparation deciding what information to consume. It’s very important to consider in this day and age what information we consume and how we consume it. It’s important to me. I’d be happy to share.

And sorry if I seem flippant or rude, I should be better about that.

Yet you know all about Breitbart? Hmmm.
