It’s crazy… years ago I would have loved for him to retire for being so far right.
But now even though his stance has stayed the same, the rest of the republicans have moved so far right that he’s one of the more left-leaning of them and needed for some sanity.

McConnell is most often right of Trump and Trump supporters. Not always, but most often. He has evolved more right over his career. In any event, it depends how you define right, but by the traditional definition there is no world in where McConnell is to the left of DJT.

Fairly decent moderate right leaning legislator. Not a good legislator on some fiscal and civil liberty issues. Hopefully his replacement falls in line with the new direction.
