He is a lying, backstabbing scoundrel who told his senators to never meet with Merrick Garland who was nominated for scotus, then he and Grassley, the puke, stonewalled the nomination with 9 months until the election making up a petty excuse not to proceed.
Then he lies and turns around to let Amy Coney B. get pushed thru in 3 weeks in October. Just a slimy breaker of the rules.
Obama should never have been so nice to bypass his chance at a recess appt that Feb of 2020.
That is bad but too bad he was in charge when we needed someone with backbone and a love of the office of the Prez to tell his Repub senators to vote to convict Trump on impeachment charges after Jan. 6. Mitch said Trump was vile in what he did then two weeks later he decided he liked being majority leader so he said Whoa down on convicting him.
We would all be better off without Mitch in power the last 5-6 years
What rules did he break? Be specific. How did he break the rules? If he broke the rules, how did it stand without a court test? Has it been litigated? If not, why not?

The Kentucky GQP changed the rules to prevent this. The danger of a popularly elected Dem fulfilling his constitutional duties shook them to their core.
Even before that, Beshear wouldn’t have been able to appoint a Dem. The previous law required the governor to choose someone from a list of three names provided by leaders from the same party as the outgoing senator.
Read my post please as I never used the word "rule". But the normal "rules" are that in Feb. when a Supreme dies and the current Prez nominates a replacement, then the senators meet with said nominee. There is nothing in the Constitution to guide Turtle Mitch to say Feb is too close to the election. The rules are specified in the constitution on how to replace dead Supremes. Obama followed those rules.
If you want to talk about rules and laws then in this instance it is spelled out in the Constitution asshat. It was Mitch who was going against the normal workings of the Constitution which makes him a puke and a liar.

They didn’t want Beshear appointing a Dem. Just like Massachusetts Dems took the power away from Governor Romney so he couldn’t appoint a Republican and then gave the power back to the governor’s office when Deval Patrick took over for Romney.
Just recently he voted against Pete Hegseth for SecDef. He and DJT do not always see eye to eye.

Well here is more after refreshing my memory of reading Article 2 Section 2 of the Constitution about Exec Powers.
The president has the power to nominate supreme court justices. It is also stated that "The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate" Now back then recesses might be a month or two long so a strict reading of the Constitution should agree with a rather quick process to fill a scotus vacancy. I dont think anyone can argue that. There is no logical way on Earth that it would or should take 9 months for the Senate to interview and confirm a scotus nominee.
And just before the recess nomination part of Article Section 2 it states that He being the president "He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court,"
So the US Constitution states that the Senate's job is to advise and consent on the nominations of the president of people to the Supreme Court. So to do that job the Senate has to perform some sort of advise and consent as in voting for the nominee. Mitch McConnell held back and did neither of those things with the help of Grassley who was Judiciary Comm Chair. It was a terrible stain on them but of course they do not care that they evaded their duties.
But Mitch M stonewalled the process and the process of the rules of the Senate are they are supposed to confirm or deny the appointment, once again not doing their job and even blocking procedure.
What POLICY POSITIONS of his do you think are more left leaning? He's an entrenched career DC swamp creature fully owned by special interests, that's it. Nothing more.
