Senior USAID security officials put on leave after refusing Musk’s DOGE access to agency systems

Musk is about to steal billions from the US taxpayer. Funny to wring your hands over millions.

And as his stooges plug thumb drives into secure networked environments, sit down at secure terminals, how long before cycber security is circumvented and the US GOV systems are opened up?

All of this from a non department and a bunch of clowns who have not been vetted. Wanna bet when something goes sideways, they don't have a list of names who have been involved?

What they are doing is against the law. We need to stop them by whatever means necessary.

The list of actions in the last 10 days that are illegal is growing. Problem is, the DOJ is currently undergoing a gutting and illegal firings themselves. This is why Cash Patel is such a threat. Any trump candidate will be, but Cash is exceptionally bad. And law suits take time.

Let's take care of our own people and problems first.

Help our own people? We've heard that before. You don't mean it.

You get it.

There have always been reasons that things are the way they were. It’s about National Security. Musk and Trump think they can rule the world.

Elon thinks he can just buy what he wants. Trump is just blinded by wanting to be Emperor.

✅ Left-wing agenda

Next time, consider adding more of these reliable GOP buzzwords in order to more effectively own the Libs:

Elitist
Control freaks

Another aspect of this. The website is down. The X account is gone (thats not a surprise). 1000s of email accounts are unaccessible.

But WTF are they thinking they can just kill funded departments and orgs? I didn't vote for Musk to make these determinations but a funded dept can't just be killed. Thats the scary part of all of this.

Why are MAGAs so naive that they don’t understand that foreign aid is taking care of our own people?

Cutting foreign aid isn’t going to balance the budget - it’s less than 1 percent.

And it’s dangerous - nations that need aid will turn to our rivals.

It’s not charity - it’s self-interest.

How about just the facts that was laid out about the USAID? Libtard.

Libtards definition of "taking care of our own people" = USAID funding prosecutors to go after Trump via lawfare. You're an idiot.

I personally think this is really sad.

I did a lot of NGO work in Cambodia over the years and have seen firsthand the good that USAID's annual assistance has done for that country. USAID averages around $50 million in assistance for essential services and education.

I would hate to see this cut off in the immediate future. Granted, other countries like Japan, Germany, Australia, etc. will still help countries like Cambodia. Just hate to see this new America give the middle finger to the rest of the impoverished world. This isn't who we should be.
They are or were in Ukraine as well. The assistance no one else will do

It's not at all difficult to see the value that usaid brings as a form of soft power, even if some of its activities might be better run through other agencies. And as a process guy, the process here stinks, both legally (employment, authorizations/appropriations, etc.) and more broadly (meat ax rather than surgical approach).

With that said, I was frankly a little surprised to learn that they're somewhat "independent" and not actually "under" DOS. To be honest, that strikes me as a potential vulnerability from a separation of powers perspective, particularly insofar as it is unabashedly an instrument of the Article II foreign affairs power. While I'm not so optimistic as to think that recent events are a mere reorganization of the hierarchy, I am hopeful that most of its material programs and functions will continue at State. To be sure, there will be detritus in the process, but the agency's stated role is one of an official agent of us foreign policy, and thus at least at some level, it is subject to the executive.

Just wondering, what is illegal that he is doing? I posted a Jon Stewart clip last week where he was talking about this and everything that Trump is doing is by the law that the US government created for the powers of the President.

Like I don’t like some shit that is happening but not sure it is technically against the law on what he is doing. Now if someone can point me in the direction or link something explaining what he is doing is unlawful I will read it.

I think this is just one of those times where you get what you vote for.

He is behind the scenes strong-arming access to things that have extremely high clearance level. He would/could never get such clearance. Keep in mind, be technically is not (supposed) to have access to everything SpaceX does even though he is CEO… because he can’t be given security access.

This is why he was denied permission. They legally cannot give him permission to do this, he has neither the clearance nor congressional approval. The federal workers in these positions are stuck… either break the law and give him access, or deny it and be fired.

Among several other things.

At a base level appropriations comes under the legislative, not executive branch. Nevermind allowing secure system access to random people without accountability or clearance.

Not sure if this is the case but does the president have the power to give random people access to this under some type of random law? Like on the face of it,yeah it doesn’t seem legal but we have given so much power to the president that I wouldn’t be surprised if it was not illegal

Crazy Filthy Don, the cowardly pussy needs Musk to do his dirty work. Just showing how weak he is again.

You say this as fact, are we sure it is? The president has what seems like unlimited power

  • Haha
Reactions: Kelsers

From everything I’m reading the answer is no. But enforcement lies in the hands of people with R behind their name or in lengthy legal battles. Regardless, some intern just put your social security number on a thumb drive and gave it to Elon Musk.
