Seven Muslim employees are fired at Ariens........

The best and brightest THOUGHT the Earth was flat.
KMart bought Sears.
Fox bought MySpace.
Best Buy bought Napster.
We elected W, twice.
We then elected Obama, twice.
The Raiders drafted Jamarcus Russell.
The Cubs paid Edwin Jackson.

I'm sure all of those people thought they were making the right decision.

Amazing that you post all of this while demanding that you are correct. You aren't taking the right message from your own post.

The best and brightest haven't thought the wold flat for thousands of years. You have some bizzar thinking.

I would say there is an internal inconsistency with this view. We keep hearing how anyone who knows about factory work would easily conclude that a special break would be disastrous. But the experts at this factory came to the opposite conclusion in the beginning. That tells me there is something about this particular factory that makes an extra break reasonable.
My view is it tells me they had never done it before and were willing to try and found out it didn't work. In my career there were plenty of programs and ideas we tried because we felt they would be successful and they were not.

The thing that I believe you are overlooking is did they have any choice but to try it? How could they have successfully defended the position of "we knew it would never work so we didn't try to accommodate them''? That to me would have been wrong. To try it and then document the effect was the only choice they had and it might have worked.

Hey Iowa Hawk how about changing your picture, your smirk is kind of starting to remind me of Martin Shkreli. Kind of smug, like your posts, and it is kind of making me uncomfortable. It would make it easier for me to read your posts. I am not trying to make this into a personal attack, I am trying to be helpful.

I know this might get me in trouble with the mods, but really...

I am serious........

Sounds like an attack on his safe zone. Sorry we don't allow those things here.

Please change your photo.....Please, I am serious, it is taking away from my enjoyment of the sight.

You need to make some accommodations for me, it is only right.
Sorry but if we both go to our safe zones then we will both be safe.

That was just one example-- but the point holds true. Just because they thought they were right at one time doesn't mean they can't change course when they learned they were wrong. They thought the earth was flat, they learned, now we know. The Cubs thought Edwin Jackson was worth $10M a year, they learned he was a steaming pile of crap, they changed course.

Where did I demand I was correct? Whether they can make it work or not, I do not know. I know they tried and reverted.
I know some people are getting all butt hurt because they aren't being given additional breaks due to their religion.
I know that if employees don't work productivity goes down.
I know that on an assembly line if one unit goes down it can effect those down stream.

That's a marvelous little factoid with no bearing at all on this conversation. In this thread we have a group of people that claim higher knowledge about how to run this factory stating its obvious accommodation is impossible. Then we have the people who actually run this factory showing accommodation is possible. You apparently want to white knight for some internet experts. You're going to have a steep hill to climb even with well reasoned analysis, but stories about Mr. Jackson aren't going to move the needle.
