Happy Birthday Yes GIF

Shikreto is an example of a person with a highly impressionable mind with limited capacity to question and challenge. Its clear from his own writings that university professors, whom are overwhelmingly leftwing ideologues, have had a massive impact on his opinions and positions.

I'm grateful that I was gifted with an adequate level of discernment and thus not susceptible to such trappings.

The reason black people cant be racist is bc you can’t do shit to make life harder for white people. The entirety of our economic, political, academic, professional infrastructure are built upon systems of exploitation. They are designed to concentrate power and wealth in the hands of the privileged few — largely white, straight men.

Until RADICAL change is made (which will never happen), that will never change. No comments or actions by Swoopes or any other black person can systemically harm white people.

Now don’t confuse racism with prejudice. Anyone can be prejudiced. Most people are, in fact, of all colors. But racism is different — it’s systemic, institutionalized, codified, overwhelming, cultural. Again, it’s part of the core of our history. Black people (and native people, Latino people, etc) do not have the power to harm white people SYSTEMICALLY in this country — hell they don’t even have the power to protect themselves from being murdered by cops when they’re sleeping in their own home. They don’t have the power to overcome generations of stolen/deprived wealth, property, health. They certainly don’t have the ability to turn the system against you. Look at Congress, look at business leaders, look at everything that makes America the country it is. It is led by straight white men and always has been.

Swoopes may be bitter and jealous of Clark, but nothing she says or do can be racist bc her actions are a pindrop in a massive pit of historical racism that doesn’t just permeate American history, it defines it. They will be forgotten, they will not harm Clark. They will not harm white athletes, bc white athletes will always have another opportunity.

Meanwhile white people will probably forever perpetuate stereotypes that harm POC as well as enact policy that does the same. POC will simply never be in a position of power in the US and that’s why “racism” doesn’t mean much, no matter how prejudiced someone may be.

You like cute lil gifs? Well, here's one for you...

If that hate filled, racist Shikreto went to college, he needs to get a refund.
He definitely did and there is more of his ilk out among us, including a cousin of mine who is in the education field that sounds like the female version of him and is insufferable to even be in the presence of. It astounds me she is allowed to pass this rhetoric off to elementary age kids and we wonder why so many kids have mental/social problems nowadays.

She got a safe space set up in her classroom?

Also this board: Why does no one want to transfer to Iowa?!?!

Oh and Republican officials in Iowa: Why do college educated people flee the state as soon as they graduate?!

It’s actually pretty obvious lol.

Lol because the black post players didn't want to be around the mostly white Iowa program.

You amuse me, I can only hope you have found a better life in San Francisco.
I live in MA but the Bay Area would certainly be an amazing place to live. I get why people spend so much money to live there, it’d be worth it. Nowhere as beautiful in the US IMO.

An enclave for rich leftists while the poor squat on the streets.
I know people who live there that are rich and people that are relatively poor (like they make $60k or whatever — not poor anywhere else but they’ll never have real wealth in SF with that salary).

You’re right that they’re all progressive, crunchy, liberals tho. Like I said, we went to Iowa 😜

Isn't Boston considered one of the most racist cities in the US?
I don’t live in Boston but I went to grad school there. I’m 90 minutes away. But yeah, super segregated city full of hypocritical white upper class NIMBYs, for sure. Very corrupt racist police force (duh).

NIMBYs?

Not in my backyard. People who claim to believe in certain ideals and recognize the importance of, for example, economic development that benefits all members of the community, including those less fortunate — but only if it’s not “in my backyard.”

Like saying you support more public transit (or more commonly, affordable housing) but you vote against it coming to your neighborhood bc you’re afraid of it “losing character” or whatever. Justice and equity for thee, not for me.

Is there much black on black grime in Boston? Nevermind, that probably isn't part of your agenda to care about. It is much easier to carry the victim torch of history than to make a change in the now.

I suspect there’s crime (and maybe grime!) perpetuated by people of all colors in Boston and every other city on earth. Idk what crime (or grime) have to do with my point tho, which is that the ruling class holds an inordinate amount of power and wealth in Boston, leading to a highly segregated city characterized by hypocrisy and a demonstrated history of racism and corruption. I’m sure many cities can be described the same way, but I haven’t lived in many cities.

Just wondering what statistics have a hold of your interest.

What exactly is your point? That black people are more likely to commit crime? Therefore what exactly? If that’s what you’re getting at…do you think that somehow puts me in my place? Jesus you guys this keeps getting worse.

That’s just it — there will always be more opportunity for white people. They may be able to cause micro harm but they can’t cause macro harm. There are no systemic, institutionalized, codified, culturally engrained barriers to entry for white people to find jobs / earn what they’re worth, the way there is for minorities and women to do so. Again you can be prejudiced in taking an action but you cannot bc racist bc racism is systemic and supercedes individual actions.

This is evidence-based btw. Multiple studies have proven how people with “black names” (even with the same resumés, backgrounds) are less likely to get hired, be approved for loans, etc. Women and POC still earn less money for doing the same work that white men do. Women still barely get maternity leave, are routinely fired for getting pregnant, etc.

It will always be that way in this country bc straight white men designed it that way — they control all axes of power in the US and furthermore designed it so that the system is basically impenetrable minorities and women to change the system. Even affirmative action — often the one lifeline for POCs to break thru systems entirely designed to exclude them — was struck down.

This is pretty easy stuff to grasp. If you don’t believe it, it’s likely bc you believe yourself to be a victim, go figure lol cry me a river.

You guys are all so fragile. Did you not attend the university of Iowa? Lmao there are many courses you can take to learn why black people cant be racist. It’s basic American history / poli sci / anthropology. I learned about it in multiple courses, through various lenses, actually. You guys should probably cheer for Liberty U or BYU if you want to support an institution that reflects your values lmao.

I’m a huge Iowa fan, but after your description of some apparent race-based class(es) at the Univ of Iowa, I’m sorry your college educational experience didn’t match what you paid for it. I’m also a college graduate and thankfully didn’t sit through such woke courses as you did. Mine were business-related, languages, sciences, mathematics, marketing, computer science type classes…you know…ones that make somebody a productive member of society. 😉

You know exactly my point, but carry on throwing out crap to see what sticks based on your own agenda and victim view points.

You are an idiot

lol you guys keep saying the same thing and idk what to tell you except that this is what people mean when they say black people cant be racist. It’s bc the definition and implications of the concept of racism require more context, a more critical lens, more nuance, than the definition you find on Google. Just bc you have a belief system predicated upon white fragility doesn’t mean you’re right. You can believe what you want but that’s not what historians, political scientists, social scientists and people who study racism have concluded based on evidence. It’s literally not what you learn at the FREAKIN UNIVERSITY OF IOWA LMAO.

I just love how you guys are all such fragile little conservatives while simultaneously cheering for an overwhelmingly progressive institution situated in the crunchiest hippy dippy city in the upper Midwest lol. Keep burying your heads in the sand…but you’ll also keep scratching your heads when young people flee Iowa for anywhere else as soon as they graduate, kids don’t want to transfer to Iowa, and oh yeah, your preferred political candidate loses the popular vote for the 8th time in 9 elections. These things are related….

Happy Judy Reyes GIF by ClawsTNT
Sounds like you need to move out of Iowa too, or perhaps you already have? Or, if you feel so strongly about America being such a bad place…perhaps you could move to another country?

I majored in poli sci and international studies, and minored in English and anthropology. When I graduated, I moved to Boston for grad school in journalism and digital marketing. I worked at a think tank while going to school part time — for four years I supported a program that was highly influential in the realm of nuclear security, disarmament, and nonproliferation. When I was tired of that life and done with grad school, I moved to NYC and was an academic advisor at NYU for a couple of years while building a career as a communications consultant.

I now am self-employed as a web developer / digital project manager / content writer. i haven’t had to work 9-5 or step foot in an office since 2019. I determine my own schedule, set my own rate and choose clients discerningly. I own my home in a small town in western MA. You may think my classes didn’t prepare me for a fulfilling, lucrative career but I would disagree. I think they gave me all the skills I needed to not only understand the world but find my place in it.

Very nice…I had a fulfilling 35-year career at one company (allowing me to retire at age 56). 😉

Actually more college educated, retired people are moving back into Iowa due to the advantageous new State tax structure/treatment on withdrawals from retirement funds.

“This phenomenon, common for many Iowan students, is known as the ‘brain drain.’ In the United States, this looks like well-educated students leaving their home state to pursue higher education and careers elsewhere.

The brain drain is particularly prevalent in Iowa, as each of its neighboring states has a higher retention rate, according to the Washington Post. When comparing college graduates produced in a state versus college graduates living in the state, Iowa falls negative, sitting at -34.2%

This statistic took the percentage of college graduates produced in Iowa against the percentage of college graduates living in Iowa, meaning that Iowa is losing over 34% of the college graduates produced in the state.

This phenomenon happens for various reasons, including less interest in rural communities, lower-paying jobs, lack of opportunities and fewer amenities and attractions, amongst others.”

So why aren't you doing a better job of convincing young black women to come play for Lisa Bluder?
