Hard to win when you miss 9 3 point shots to start the game. This team is hard to watch.
A home loss to the worst team in the league pretty much dashes any NCAA Tourney hopes on the rocks of sh*t.
Both Iowa basketball program have fallen into a deep dark depression of bad basketball

I'll try, this team is broken and demoralized. A complete dismal, apathetic, and uninspired performance tonight.

Where's the energy all game long? That's all on coaching....when you don't demand excellence, then you get whatever effort the players feel like.
We'll see if they can even make the B1G tournament.
Remember that the bottom 3 teams (I believe) don't get to play

That happens. Defense and rebounding are the cure for all shooting sickness. Iowa has no cure.

Dix played 38 minutes and scored 3 points. He looked ill or injured . . . for whatever reason he appeared to be going through the motions. He's stoic anyway, of course, but last night he didn't seem to have any energy at all.

Remember when the only thing worth doing in the winter was watching Iowa basketball? I do. This isn't one of those winters. Fire Fran, Now!

As far as Beth goes, I'm beginning to think Fran has possibly let her know he's done at the end of the season.

I agree with this. There were times in the USC game that they looked like they didn't want to be there. Then against UCLA they looked bored, and once again, didn't want to be there at all. Same last night. I've defended Fran in the past, but it's time for him to go. I wouldn't spend a dime to go watch this team in person. I'm starting to even question how much I want to watch them on TV at this point.
They aren't disciplined and that starts at the top. Sad to see it.
After last night we rank 307th out of 352 teams in total rebounding. We don't have the size to be a big time rebounding team, but rebounding is a stat that can be impacted by overall effort. And they just don't seem to know how to do that. That comes down to coaching, plain and simple.

Surprisingly, even after last night we still rank 17th in the country for 3-pointer %. And rank 5th for overall FG %. It's depressing to think like this, but we are a fadeaway buzzer beater against NW and a HUGE comeback OT win against Nebby away from being tied for last place in the conference at 1-7.
Honestly should be but the rest of the season will take care of that. I don’t see anyway they make the BTT. End it.
Yup, I don't think they'll be making it either. Not unless something drastic happens, and I'm not about to let myself become even a little optimistic about that. The optimism ship has sailed.
It doesn’t matter. It would just be one and done like every year we’ve made it to the dance. Nobody cares. Carver is a morgue. Total apathy. So much that nobody will fire him. I do think he walks away after this season. Pretty sure he wants to watch Jack and a good chance he has a spot on the Butler bench (though I can’t see him being an assistant.)
