Earlier I'm the thread about 1st and 2nd round upsets, herky hopeful said he thinks SMU could ruin the Duke vs Villanova Elite 8 Matchup. I agree in some ways but will probably end up picking Duke just in case SMU loses to Baylor. How far do u guys have SMU going?

I have SMU in my Final Four losing to Zona.

They play a different style of ball. Everyone is between 6-3 to 6-8. They have no true post player as all 5 players can handle the ball and shoot it outside. They are a sneaky team and I think they will go far in the tourney!

If Nova plays duke they will destroy Duke, I think that region has some overrated teams i see Nova having no issues with that region. I wouldn't be surprised to see duke lose in the first or second round like i was shocked acouple years ago when they were a 2nd seed and lost in the first round.

To many bad games this year by duke to get a 2nd seed when college basketball this year didn't have as many upsets and top 10 were solid this year unlike last year.

My struggle is always picking the 12 and below upsets.

SMU has a good chance to face Duke but I think that's as far as they go.

I got MTSU taking down the Goofs so long as the NCAA refs don't favor Pitino's son. FGCU over FSU is another pick I want to make. That's gonna be an interesting matchup.

Princeton could take down Notre Dame if ND comes out asleep in their first game....and speaking of..............

Lastly, I honestly think we see another 16 give a 1 a scare.

South Dakota State is a team, if you look past their record, that could give Gonzaga the scare of their tournament lives.



Or Gonzaga could win by 40.


Either way, I don't see the tournament ultimately panning out to be this chaotic trainwreck of unpredictability, but rather bullsh** bau from mostly the same teams we see every other year in the Final Four (except Arizona....for some reason I like them to come out of the West).

That's everyone's struggle is picking the 12 and below upsets that go to the sweet 16 or elite 8. There will be atleast one 11 and up that makes a long run. Anybody have an idea on some possibilities i think New Mexico St at 14 could go far have them as my biggest upset in round 1.

I got Xavier facing Zona as an 11. Not even gonna count Wichita State. They shouldn't be a 10 even if they lose to Kentucky.

You look at the 12s and really the only one that jumps out at you is Middle Tennessee.

Princeton over Notre Dame? That'd be a BIG upset IMO.
Nevada could spoil Iowa State's party. That'd be hilarious. Virgina losing to UNC-Wilmington would be another big upset. I just don't see them happening.

I've seen some wishful thinkers picking Northern Kentucky over Kentucky.......

I actually think Louisville is vulnerable as a 2 seed.
