So many coaches amongst Iowa fans

Lol - I’m an older guy, probably way way older than most people here. I remember the discussions used to be more substantive than these nonstop expressions of uninformed opinions as if they were facts. Anyway, sorry for the rant. I want the Hawks to win a championship or at least make the final four. It’s been too long.
Your perfect World does not exist Sir. Nor mine. My perfect World doesn't have the Internet as part of it, that fixes this problem instantly. Good day.
In the old days we'd sit around the bars discussing the Hawks and ruining our livers. It's winter and CV 19 has us bottled up and unable to see the Hawks in person, so TV and this forum is it. I personally don't like to see college kids called out for an off night, it happens. That being said, Dan Dakitch, or Robbie, or Jess or any other of the TV color guys are going to do it anyway...

I imagine a similar post could have been made in 2015-16 when Fran's Hawks were 7-1 and leading the B1G, with wins at MSU and at Purdue.

We won't know how good this team is/was until the end of the year. We do know that Garza is living up to expectation as POY, so any shortcomings in expectations are not Garza related. If someone posts some concerns about the way Fran coached the Indiana game and the result of the game, they may end up being correct.

Garza is great on offense but some of the reason Fran loves to go big has to be because of how bad of a rim protector he is.

Actual coaches understand that the product on the court is never going to be exactly perfect. It might be for a play, or a stretch, but inevitably a player will make a mistake.
While Fran has some shortcomings, I have always thought he could “coach”, especially on the offensive side.
In a state that doesn’t exactly grow high-major D1 talent on trees, he has, for the most part, had competitive teams in a very tough conference. And while they will obviously miss a talent like Garza, I feel he finally has managed the roster to be competitive in the future as well.
it cracks me up to hear the coach bashers - most of the time they don’t realize what they are even seeing.

That same lame group of starters have had Iowa ranked in the Top Ten all year. That doesn't happen that often in these here parts.....
Hawks were in about this spot 5 years ago and we all know how that turned out. Hoping for a different outcome this time but I never get my hopes up for IA sports anymore, especially after watching over a decade of Fran's "defense". That 50 spot to offensively challenged IU in second half was sad. I hate to think where the team would be without Garza, need cj back

Ok, the salty fellow Hawkeye fan was cute. 😂 I’ll give you that. I’m assuming you know who I am. But come on, does a coach realistically expect a team to win every single game in the course of a long season in the most competitive league in the country, and second guess a fellow coach’s educated rotational decisions with uninformed judgements? Some of these comments on players and playing time and who should start and who shouldn’t and accusations of nepotism and favoritism are just stupid. I’m sure you wouldn’t appreciate them if they were made about you and your team (if you were a real coach, which I doubt you are. 😂😂) Just kidding with the last comment. Good luck with your team.
i will bite , who are you ?
