So who coaches Indiana next year?

No one likes to be fired, but after watching the way Indiana players related to each other, he may be better off somewhere else. The Hoosiers have a ton of talent, even without Anunoby, but they just looked like they weren't enjoying playing with each other in our game. I think Bryant looked frustrated and I will be surprised if he doesn't test the NBA waters. It's almost too bad that Blackmon is not a senior, because I believe they might be a better team without him.

I can't believe Indi tolerates Crean for another season. He has superior talent and although they have had a lot of injuries, you can't play like that and hope to survive.

Crean will get canned. But it is not entirely fair, with all the injuries. Remember, this team BEAT Kansas and North Carolina. Nobody else has better top 5 wins. Tell me there isn't something wrong here...

Injuries should not get Crean canned. That said, IU fans are like Iowa fans - blind and naive, with some higher standards that are tough to live up to.

Whoever coaches IU next year will be in the Top 3-4 of the B1G. And it can be a braindead Alford, With all that talent coming back. Heck, Anunoby who was a lottery pick this year, could carry the team next year, if healthy. And their only senior is injured... They will be a darn good team. Even if they had myself at the helm.

Almost feel sorry for Tom. Almost.

I think there is a good chance Crean might leave on his own if he can find a reasonable opportunity. Even if he doesn't get fired this year the axe will swing next year and he has got to know that.

Look at Creans overall record for the last 9 years and report back on your findings. It isn't just about this season. OG is going Pro.

I heard rumors of Scott Drew being high on their list. I'm a Scott Drew fan, but would love to see him coach anywhere but in the Big 12.
Yeah, he had a great year with Baylor and can get out of that poisonous environment, while he's high on everyone's list. Valpo Indiana connections, seems like it would be a good fit.

How about Tony Bennett leaving UVA for IU? He was offered position in 2008 but turned it down and it went to Crean.....second thoughts, perhaps?

Bennett's not leaving UVA, is he? Why would he want to leave that place with the success he's had. Don't see it...

Yes, but both are elite jobs and the Indiana job has to be Alfords dream job being an Indiana legend
I can't believe Tanya would want to leave LA for Hooterville

Crean will be back, much to the dismay of a large segment of Hoosier fans. This year's team has definitely underperformed, even with their injuries, but he did just win an outright Big Ten title last year. Hoosier fans are a lot like Husker FB fans. They think they should win the national title every year.
Indiana fans aren't dismayed any more
