Socialism in South America: Real Life Hunger Games

Seems like capitalism is doing the same in this country. All I know is that every civilization that has turned into a two class society, has failed. We're closing in on that two class society.

Actually Capitalism is why we are who we are, and how we became who we are. Socialism is not the answer, because socialism does absolutely nothing to break up the oligarchies.
The only way to take on the Oligarchies is to have TRUE Capitalism. You want balance, then let everyone have the opportunity to gain their weight.

Well I won't debate you there. What we seem to have now is Socialism for the rich which allows them to call the shots for everyone else.

it's all about the level of government corruption

Y'know there was a very interesting OECD study on this a few years back. The gist of the report was that the nature of the government/economy had less impact on the social &economic stability, but the biggest factor was whether or not people felt their public institutions were legitimate or corrupt. Everything that we measure as success or failure of a nation flowed from that simple test.

Huey, the only places in the US I have seen look like those riots are in liberal havens like Ferguson and Baltimore. Capitalism isnt to blame there. Socialistic liberal policies rule the roost in those places and have for decades.

You people are clueless
