I bet they had 10 hawk vs hawk matches this weekend.
No life wrestlers show up on rankings but they knocked off some of our top ranked girls. We did not look good.
L has no effect on qualification formula, i.e, conference spots and at large ranking. Can't say that dictates all seeding though for NCAA tournament given Starocci's seed last year.
They are NAIA. Girl at 110 has beaten all 3 of our 110s and is clearly elite. Only other starter that lost in finals was Foeller. We sat out half our lineup
They can also qualify more than one wrestler per weight. And I don’t know how their tourney scoring works

Yes, they can, but only the winner's points contribute to the team total. Pretty sure that's the same for the men.
In fact, they'd get more team points with a win via MFF, but they don't do that and still wrestle.
In the near future of revenue sharing, sports like wrestling better be concerned with fans being entertained. Our sport is destined to have 5-6 D1 squads.

The only point I was making is the situations aren’t the same. They can qualify multiple and it could have seeding implications.

Or does anyone know if Gabe got dinged up a little in his semifinal? I know it's easy to get pissed off about everything. For the record I was bummed they didn't wrestle, but over it by the time SB took the mat.

Pretty simple concept Chief. Before the finals at Black Knight, they announced no contest at 174, 184 and HWT. Fans knew what to expect.
Also by doing this, you’re not making any of the wrestlers look weak.

I don't think Spencer taking 6th at NCAAs did. Why would Gabe in a meaningless tournament final?
If this DGAF team first strategy-wise attitude is something the Brands teach, then I say that's one thing they're doing right.

Overall the Solute kicked the midlands ass, no contest.
I understand everyone wanted to see Gabe vs Angelo but anyone criticizing just does not get it including Shane Sparks! He needs to bite his tongue a bit, he is getting a bit full of himself with some of his commentary.
The Girls put on a good showing overall in the finals, I was watching side by side and caught myself glancing their way quite a bit.
The Hawks looked really good overall and we are just about to kick it into high gear.
Im ready to get after it and my wife best watch herself towards the end of this season, I just may have the crazy eyes going and thats not good for anyone in my vicinity!
