I was impressed with how ISU played the hawks. any fan on here who is being honest with themselves would say that. that was a fun game, well played.

Agreed! Very impressive win and anyone who says otherwise is just a bitter Iowa fan that wants to try and put another's accomplishments down but will flip out if anyone says the same about an Iowa win
The OU win was very impressive. Especially cause IMO OU showed up. OU was up early so not like they were sleepwalking until down by 14 and couldn't make it back. Happy for the team. My issues are with the fan base. They have multiple thousands posts about the PSU game not selling out and then the Texas game on national TV was pretty sad from an optic standpoint and the KU game (after the OU win) was really pathetic. So it was a great win but the program still is far from relevant.
Not sure what all this gobbledygook about attendance is about.
ISU is average 57,457 per game attendance...in a virtual tie for 3rd in the Big 12 behind OU and UT....an average that would be an all time record for the University. Further, we have two remaining home games against TCU and OU...which are likely to draw big crowds unless the weather just goes to hell. Coming off the past 3 seasons with 3 wins or less...that's damn impressive. I wouldn't call it brag worthy, but its certainly not an issue in any negative sort of way. Not sure why that's worthy of serious debate here.

I have Direct TV and I recorded all the games except UNI. Honest. I'm not lying to you. I don't know why the search didn't show it; it worked for me. I had to use the search function because I always do, whether it's Iowa or ISU or any other team; there are a lot of options. The various Fox Sports channels, ESPN channels, Big Ten Network in some cases, the over-the-air networks....I recorded the KU game off Channel 635. That's MSG (Madison Square Garden), one of the networks working with Fox Sports on Big XII, Pac-10 and ACC games. But it was on several other channels, too.
Iowa State is average.
Oklahoma is average and has been average for quite some time.

Remember, this is the Big 10 you are talking about, nobody plays all the best teams. Hell, Iowa only plays 2 maybe 3 of those supposed top teams a year. What a joke.
We play or will play half of the teams ranked in the top-6 currently. Along with another top-20 team. It's funny to see ISU fans bust their little half-chub over getting some AP votes for the first time in forever. Start with figuring out a way to beat us at anything, then we'll talk idiot.
Sorry but they weren't on tv out here. Not sure what you want to hear but the truth is we've only had 3 ISU games that were televised nationally. You can always count on the Iowa game to get you national exposure though!

Oh, 635. I don't have that channel, and I've got the largest Directv package, but don't have that one apparently. It still comes up though, so not sure why the search didn't work. Might be what most on here are referencing too, and thus the picking nits. Both sides should probably understand the others argument in this case, but that probably won't happen. Usually if you go to ESPN, they'll have the game channel listed by the game, they didn't have one on Saturday, thus me having to search after going to all ESPN's, main channels, FS1 and the 665 etc channels.

Several of the RSN's picked it up, pretty sure more than 10 markets. It was also shown on Fox Sports 1 when the TCU/KSU game went into an extended delay.
Now, if you don't have a Fox RSN in your market (or your market chose a different game to broadcast), or don't subscribe to the DTV Sports Pack, it may very well have not been on, but it was definitely out there.
I changed my favorites in the guide to include all channels on Friday evening, then viewed the 600's range of channels at 11am...all over the place.

Iowa already has 2 losses so it doesn't matter what the win over ISU looks like now. If we are hoping to get into the playoff it might matter but that ship has sailed. Oh yeah, F ISU!!
I was at the KU game. It was miserable until the game actually started and then it cleared up and was almost perfect. Tailgating had to suck balls and that's a huge reason people go to football games. Not to mention it didn't look like it was going to let up. I can't speak to Texas. As soon as they unveiled the new alt. logo I refused to watch and will boycott every game that it's used.

Good luck getting Franisdaman, Herkyfan, RockyMountain, or Kujawa to ever have a rational thought about Iowa State (or anything negative about Iowa) on this message board.
I dont get it. Ive heard some fans say they dont care if Iowa loses every game as long as they beat ISU.
ISU fans are a different story. ISU wins a few games and their fan base thinks they are a powerhouse and on the same level as KSU.
I have plenty of rational thoughts on ISU. I want them to do well. They are mostly Iowa kids. I have played golf with their coaches at Gridiron fundraisers when my Clone golfing buddies would need a 4th and to a person all great guys. However, live in Ankeny for 5 minutes and report back to me on their fans. Seriously, the pure hatred for anything Iowa is scary. And they post more about Iowa sports than their own sports on their website. But all I hear is how they are such a more loyal fan base than Iowa. And when I point out things like the Texas and KU game I am not rational?!
