But it isn't. I mentioned in another thread my son's school was having issue with kids (3rd and under) playing squid games on the playground. Yup, K-5 through 3rd had kiddos mimicking what they watched on their unchecked Netflix viewing.

Do I remember wresting on the trampoline like I was the Ultimate Warrior? Yes.

Do I remember watching content like Squid Games and reenacting that at 8? No. I'll repost in case you missed it above:

Children's TV shows contain about 25 violent acts per hour. That means they see about 10,000 violent acts per year. The average child sees 8,000 murders by the end of elementary school and 200,000 acts of violence by age 18.

I wasn't going to add this because I really don't feel like I need to prove I'm not a racist.

My youngest son who is in middle school has an African American boy in his grade.

He's very overweight and doesn't have a great family life.

I tell my son all the time to be nice to him and that I really like him as a kid.

You want to know what one of my most proud moments is for this son of mine?

Last wrestling season, this boy, who loses 95% of his matches got pinned quickly.

Frustrated and probably embarrassed, he went and sat down and started crying.

Next thing you know, my son came over and sat next to him. Put his arm around him and started talking to him.

I'll never forget that moment for the rest of my life. Never been more proud.
Yep. Totally not racist.

Yes

The ones who promote a gun culture of unregulated ownership.
I can absolutely promise you that none of the scholars that just did this shooting could identify a single politician from their state. It is absolutely moronic to think this is a gun control issue. These kids violated a ton of laws the second that they took that gun. You think another law would do anything?

I realize that and it’s sad.

There isn’t an easy solution. Kids are going to consume what they can if there isn’t any supervision and Hollywood ain’t gonna stop making violent movies, shows, etc.

What do we do? Either stop having kids or somehow bring back actual supervision and require those that have kids to actually parent

I would say that the “thug life” that a huge part of the black culture in music and media have more of an impact than John Wick. How often do we see the videos of the young male with the wad of cash waving the pistol?
Depicting their upbrining isn’t suprising as it may be all they know.

How about they don’t get easy access to guns and maybe that would prevent shootings.

And because this is never going to happen, we're left with the only tangable solution, try to get guns out of the hands of people who shouldn't have them. It sucks and its not the option I'd prefer, but I'm not responsible nor able to regulate how someone else parents.

Believe me, when I'm sitting in an R-rated film and I see the 5 year old two rows up in front of me, I want to:

The state that's hardest to get a gun in is California.

The state with the most illegal guns is California.

Discuss.

Well I can guarantee you that these teens didnt but then at a gun store.
No...they were TRAFFICKED from a gun store. Bought and sold. Or do you think that - somehow - 1,000 guns sold by THIS store were stolen from their rightful owners?

Okay, there's this thing called 'per capita'. Not sure how familiar you are with this, but if the population of California 39 million and the population of Wyoming is 500k, I think it's pretty safe to say California will have more illegal guns than Wyoming.

In simpler terms, if I go to a theater that has 16 viewing screens I have a better chance of seeing the film I'm looking for vs a theater that only has 2 viewing screens.

A beer in my hand isn't a disease. However, a beer in an alcoholic's hand is. Most gun owners are very responsible; however, their responsibility (myself included) isn't the issue.

Hahaha, you can't do it. You can't admit that breaking into the car was the crime, stealing another person's property was a crime, because..... guns...

There is all kinds of nice things visible all over the world, we used to teach people not to touch other people's shit.
Having ANY gun within sight in a vehicle is beyond stupid and careless.

Just admit it.

LOL...are you buying two dozen guns and reselling them to criminals? Is that illegal? Should it be?
Of course it’s illegal. Laws are in place already to punish folks that do it.

I’m just highlighting once again that criminals don’t care about whatever laws get enacted. It’s not a gun law problem folks.

The vast majority of people don’t need a gun. Shit nearly nobody does. That’s why they’re a disease is everything thinks they need one cause muh freedoms

I disagree. To a non-resident, my gun (outside of a safe) is secure within the secured confines of my home. To a resident, say my child, the gun needs to be secondarily secured in a safe.

Now, do I think all guns should be secured? Yes. Do I think a gun owner should be held liable if someone unlawfully, breaks into their home and steals it then uses it in a crime? No...but possibly. I'm open to discuss.

Appreciate your POV, I just disagree.
