Stanford#5 Hawks#6 Ohio state#7 Final Poll

This is wishful thinking. I think there is a legit arguement for Iowa at 4 by the committee. With Baylor losing its third game today Oklahoma loses that extra quality game. Iowa shouldn't be penalized for playing an extra game. Their one loss is at the end of the game vs. a top 5 team, Oklahomas loss is to a 5-7 Texas team. It's a long shot but I am hoping there is a discussion on this.

As far as I'm concerned, we shouldn't be lower than Standord considering they lost two games and we housed one of the teams they lost to.

Unlike last year, the top 4 are locked in. The next 12 hours is when the politics start to get played and ESPN makes their rights fee payment along with who they want in each of their remaining CFP games. Will be fun to see how it shakes out.

IT is odd the Hawks are getting hurt by playing a extra game...and lose the extra game...no complaints ...new coming in it was win you are in and lose you are out

IF that is the case Hawks to the Rose bowl because ESPN wants OHIO State/ND Fiesta...they have a 5.6 billion dollar investment...they will make the selection

Rose bowl bid(IOWA)...#1Clemson #2Bama #3MSU #4 Oklahoma
Yes, I think you nailed it spot on. Delaney and B1G will put pressure on CFP Committee.

1. Clemson
2. Bama
3. MSU
4.OK
5. Stanford ( yes 2 losses, but conference champs, and solid resume)
6. Iowa - Rose Bowl vs. Stanford
7. tOSU

Ohio state destroyed a quality Michigan team at Michigan. They go to rose bowl. Personally after this loss....I could not care less. Proud to be a Hawkeye.
If Cook doesn't play tonight Iowa wins. OSU could take down MSU at home without Cook. They had FIVE first downs against MSU.

Who here actually thinks Oklahoma is better than Iowa?
Well, the "good" teams they beat all relied on scoring lots of points to make up for their awful defenses. And then when Oklahoma played them, those teams didn't even have their starting QBs. For just one, I'd say Boykin is worth a few points. Oklahoma is a paper tiger.

We actually beat a higher ranked team by more that being Northwestern.

I guarantee Iowa is not going to the Rose Bowl. ESPN wants ratings....Iowa won't give them that. OSU is a lock for the Rose.

I think the OP is correct. Iowa went toe to toe with a playoff team on the big stage, led with under a minute to go. Iowa deserves to be ranked ahead of OSU.

Let's hope Tom and Barry are bigger Iowa fans than OSU fans. That's what it will come down to.

Well, history may agree with you here but other than NW who did UM beat this year?

We absolutely should be in the playoffs. We trailed in the 4th qtr for just a few seconds all season. Oklahoma lost to a garbage team and the Big 12 is a garbage conference.

Only make the claim if they played each other and settled it on the field.

Houston doesn't play in a Power 5 conference.

Point is being a concernce champion doenst mean they are better. We spanned the team that Stanford lost to. I think the Pac-12 is weak this year. We just happen to play a much tougher opponent than Stanford did in our conference championship game.

It does matter to the people who count(conference championships)

I'm not debating what others think. I'm stating my opinion of who I think is a better football team. I think the Pac-12 is weak. I saw the best team in that conference lose to a team that we dominated. I think we are a better team than Stanford.
