Trying to figure out if we have to buy his shirt or if the Swedish government will provide it to everyone.what does any of this have to do with spencer getting t-shirt money
1. Socialism is common ownership of the means of production.
2. I’m sure they do loathe a 75% income tax rate considering that is higher than anyone else in the country pays. How did they get so lucky to pay more than the top tax bracket?
well, he will have to decide if he will give it to the rest of the team like a good socialist/comunist.what does any of this have to do with spencer getting t-shirt money
a broken clock is right twice a dayMarx did get quite a number of predictions right.
Damn, it took you two weeks to respond and you still couldn’t find an example of that 75% tax rate your friends hate so much. Impressive.![]()
Sweden Has a 70 Percent Tax Rate and It Is Fine
Sweden shows that soaking the rich is fun, cool, and good.www.peoplespolicyproject.org
look up marginal tax rate....then add VAT tax to income tax. Basic math is hard for idiots so use a calculator. I can tell you never ran a business....all those money details are so annoying --"easier to take it than to make it" says the socialist/communist.
Tom said it best---YOU GET WHAT YOU EARN-- unless you are a socialist. Then you get what other people earn. Socialism logic says Spencer and team owe me titles since I gave $ to HWC and the University so we will share the production of championships. Put my name on the trophy says the socialist.
Socialism has always economically failed the average citizen causing the deaths of millions from starvation (while benefiting the power elites), meanwhile capitalism has raised the standard of living for all its citizens. Its funny to me to see socialists/Dem promote a failed ideology based on an emotional position as a power grab. I guess you would rather see millions starve to prevent Jeff Bezos from being a billionaire. Asinine, spoiled rich child tantrums. More daddy, I want more!!!! I want his stuff!!!! He has more than me!!!! tears
I am happy Jeff Bezos made amazon and I love my iphone and computers. I am happy there are people willing to take the financial risk to develop an idea-- because most fail and never make it to market. Only 1 in 20 venture capital projects succeed. (I am in that business.) Name ANY innovation that occurred in a socialist country. They dont. They duplicate. There is no R&D (research and development)--only research and DUPLICATE.
Meanwhile Univ of Alabama freshman QB made 7 figures on NIL money already without ever throwing a touchdown. insane. I hope wrestling will get some of that. should he have to give it to the other players?

And you had to include the employer side payroll tax to even get close. Making the error even more impressive.

Ask 100 people their tax rate, and I guarantee you none of them put the employer side payroll tax in the calculation. In fact, none probably even know how much that is. I agree that is a tax that is eventually paid by the worker in theory, but it is simply not of the discussion when people are complaining about their high taxes.Employer side payroll tax is money that you are worth that the company is paying to the government instead of you. It absolutely should be included.

Swindled him into paying for health care?So the plan succeeded - they've swindled you and those 100 other people. Great work.
You are all about making a point, just not very good at it. If you are going to use insurance as an example why not use food costs or any necessity. Point is trying to defend socialism you need to use theory a lot because that’s the only thing that remotely shows it has any plus sides.Ask 100 people their tax rate, and I guarantee you none of them put the employer side payroll tax in the calculation. And if we’re just using whatever numbers we want when determining marginal tax rates in the US we should also include health insurance premiums (both employer and employee paid) as part of the US individual marginal tax rate. Since of course that is a tax that Americans are paying to insurance companies that Swede’s don’t have. Let’s also add our deductibles to that number as well. How’s the marginal tax rate compare now?
Because the price of health care is a real expense in US deducted (taxed) from paycheck. And this discussion concerns comparisons on tax schedules, not cost of living expenses in general. You are all about making a point, just not very good at it. Salmon fishing in Alaska. 8 kings and 32 Coho. Threw back at least 30 pinks. Sockeye remain elusive to me. My personal version of a trip to space LOL. Lol. You didn’t even read the article you posted.Salmon fishing in Alaska. 8 kings and 32 Coho. Threw back at least 30 pinks. Sockeye remain elusive to me. My personal version of a trip to space LOL. One of the benefits of being a hard worker in a capitalist economy.
Family not friends dopey. Your attention to detail sucks much like your intellect. I did not mention payroll tax. VAT is not payroll moron. If you were a professional, independent contractor or ran your own business you would include payroll tax because you pay it not "other people". You are clearly business ignorant and a bigot.
"Never wrestle with pigs--you get dirty and pigs think it is fun". Mark Twain (Maybe) .
You crabs are an intellectual pig with latent homosexual tendencies--"not that there is anything wrong with that" Have you told your wife? GF? About your "hard men" thoughts?
Swindled him into paying for health care?
This was foreshadowing at its finest.
And already regret has set in for some who thought this was a good idea. For countless years this decision should have been self-evident to the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The student athlete cannot be deprived of his/her constitution right (employment). Although it has taken sixty years (Civil Rights Act of 1964) the NCAA may/should now decide to reform itself, rather than wait for the courts to impose change upon them. The times they are a changing (Dylan 1964)
Justice Kavanaugh writing in the unanimous/concurring opinion (9-0); ‘under ordinary principles of the antitrust law, it is not evident why intercollegiate sports should be any different. The NCAA is not above the law’.
The arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.
Go Hawks
Man, never saw anybody with all that hard-earned capitalistic money come back so angry after an Alaskan fishing trip. Here's to hoping you get some sockeye on your next trip. Hard to argue with that intellectual nugget. But would it actually be right 2 X 24 (# time zones) = 48 times?a broken clock is right twice a day
Try asking someone like a nanny and the family looking to hire her about this -- I guarantee this is discussed regarding whether or not she should be paid on the books, because the impact to the nanny becomes quite obvious when you actually calculate the overall cost to the employer.Ask 100 people their tax rate, and I guarantee you none of them put the employer side payroll tax in the calculation. I never said it doesn’t exist. In fact I admitted it exists if you read my post.Try asking someone like a nanny and the family looking to hire her about this -- I guarantee this is discussed regarding whether or not she should be paid on the books, because the impact to the nanny becomes quite obvious when you actually calculate the overall cost to the employer.
In any event, your argument can't possibly be "the average Joe doesn't think about it so it doesn't count!" People don't consider opportunity cost when they think about the cost of a college degree, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Are Minnesota, New York and California part of Scandanavia now? Guess I gotta get out more. An Hombre can get reel smart reading the brilliance on display in these here parts!I never said it doesn’t exist. In fact I admitted it exists if you read my post.
I was responding to Armbar who said he knows people on Scandinavia that complain about their 75% tax rates. First off there is no 75% tax rate and to even get somewhat close to that you have to factor in employer side payroll which I know no one would be factoring into their complaint.
Ironbird, hook me up with some of that smoke you sell.l
Would be any and all who are not on the gravy train. Thinking this was easy to see? For example they had that situation where some wealthy celebrities or something paid to have their kids tests taken by someone else so they could get into a better school. Those people were slammed pretty hard as I remember. What is the difference here???
IF I have the $$$$$, I can just pay for whatever right? Might go so far as, why even have the kid go to school? Kid is making a ton of money, going to sign for even bigger money. Is this kid taking math 101???? Screw it, I am here to play ball and party balls. Kick me out and i'll go play somewhere else.
How many years can this go on for may be another question? Paying the kid, take a red shirt, grey shirt, part time, delayed enrollment. matter of fact, why not go after all those who left college early and entered the NFL draft????
Can not even imagine the events that would take place in basketball. Not sure if they still have a very low graduation rate? I could see donors paying any kid who could play to go to various schools just to win games. These kids would be taken others spots not only on teams, but at universities who have enrollment limits!
Also still not hearing why HS athletes can not get paid too. What about the band? Marching around with a Tuba that says "BLOW ME Bubble Gum" Why even still compete in the NCAA? F them and their rules. Take Soccer for example. Play in the european league. Get some rich guy who came over here, pay the best players you can find. play exhibition matches against other schools and in a pro league. Practice, play home games, use the schools facilities etc...
Hmmm, I think I actually really like this idea. Olympic Weight lifting, Freestyle Wrestling. Paid athletes, going to say IOWA, use the planned new facilities. Stay "in school" for years as you train!!! In other words, just use the school to cover all the overhead costs. So you would not have or need the HWC anymore. Just a big slush fund like F*** state and you can make what they are doing look like child's play!!!
Roger That. Swedish Fish it will be.Man, never saw anybody with all that hard-earned capitalistic money come back so angry after an Alaskan fishing trip. Here's to hoping you get some sockeye on your next trip. Maybe go with some happier Swedish fishermen next time.

Wait now it’s 70? Thought it was 75this is a stupid narcissistic position. Your contribution to payroll tax is 3.5% in US. EVERYONE WOULD ACCOUNT FOR IT IF IT WAS 31% like in Sweden.
Accounting is hard for moronic socialists because it is other peoples money. Add the 25% VAT tax to the 70% marginal income tax for Sweden. Dont forget to include property tax, intangible tax and the 31% payroll tax.
Hard to admit you are wrong especially when you are stupid but to be honest I really dont care --this is for others who are capable of learning. I have been to Cuba, Nicaragua, Vietnam, China and IMO SOCIALISM SUCKS!
