Yes, a Hawk fullback. Then with Jacksonville. Bad knees cut his career short. I'm not sure where TJ got the height however he will definitely fill out his frame impressively if he's anything like his dad.Wasn't his Father a Hawk or am I having LSD flashbacks????

I sincerely hope that he choses to become a Hawk. While I'm certainly biased ...I would assume he goes to a big time program as DL. ALA, CLEM, STAN, MICH, OKL.
Good luck to him.
Homer alertI sincerely hope that he choses to become a Hawk. While I'm certainly biased ...
- he'll be hard pressed to find a program that will care for him more as an individual
- he'll be hard pressed to find a program that will respect his intellect as much as Iowa
- he'll be hard pressed to find a program that will physically develop him better ... Doyle may get guys "bigger" ... but he makes sure the weight is well distributed.
- Iowa can develop him into an elite-caliber D-linemen as well as anybody (including the "elites")
- he'll be hard pressed to find a program that is as close to home!
I acknowledged my bias ... and yet what did I post that was inaccurate? There's been a pretty long standing precedent at Iowa ... and as you continually like to remind us, Ferentz isn't exactly a win-at-all-costs sort of dude.Homer alert

I'm thinking about 5 years ago there was a high school recruit from Cedar Falls who's parents and the recruit also were huge Hawkeye fans, yet chose Alabama. So in most cases big time colleges get their man. Just saying...As you can imagine, his family is hard core Hawkeye. Having said that, I'm sure they want him to enjoy the process and go where his heart leads him. I'd be surprised if he doesn't become a Hawk.
So many others that were inside Iowas fence opted out. Hope he doesn't, but its pretty hard when all the perks other schools seem to offer come rolling in.I sincerely hope that he choses to become a Hawk. While I'm certainly biased ...

Actually it isn't very often at all!! He will be a Hawk!! Book it!So many others that were inside Iowas fence opted out. Hope he doesn't, but its pretty hard when all the perks other schools seem to offer come rolling in.
Followed by a douche bag can't stand anything about Iowa football alert....Homer alert
Wasn't a legacy though was he? You know like this guy named AJ?I'm thinking about 5 years ago there was a high school recruit from Cedar Falls who's parents and the recruit also were huge Hawkeye fans, yet chose Alabama. So in most cases big time colleges get their man. Just saying...
He's also a football legacy at Iowa, unlike the two players mentioned....Here is my question compared to the likes of Oliver Martin, and Ross piersbacher.. I’m willing to bet bollers has seen the Hawkeyes play in person more times then the 2 above combine..
Yeah ... but Nate Creer's kid chose Zook's Illini. That's why I genuinely wonder some times about these parents and their kids ...Wasn't a legacy though was he? You know like this guy named AJ?
As another poster said ... those guys weren't legacies. However, furthermore, Martin's recruitment was botched. The fact that Martin played the camp circuit successfully and saw his recruitment blow up ... those factors undermined the tack that the Iowa coaches took when recruiting him. Here is my question compared to the likes of Oliver Martin, and Ross piersbacher.. I don't think that Nate Scheelhouse thought that Iowa's offense was a good fit for his talents. I personally think he would have fit pretty well into that Brad Banks mold, but honestly don't even remember if we were recruiting him as a QB or as a WR.Yeah ... but Nate Creer's kid chose Zook's Illini. I'm a theoretical physicists ... so I love me some nerds. But even Northwestern's Kain Colter was dictated by the football program concerning his academic schedule to an extent that he was unable to fulfill the curriculum of a pre-med student (supposedly his preferred major). However, at Iowa, the Hawks have regularly had QBs who were on the pre-med track ... Vandenberg, Rudock, and Weigers be but a few. And, that doesn't even include some of our former O-linemen who ultimately became doctors.
My point above being that Ferentz is 100% serious when he speaks about caring more about developing people than just football players. Don't get me wrong ... he definitely wants to help players optimize their football skill-set too ... but not at the expense of developing them as people.
I never watched it until a few years back when my students told me that I had to ... they actually told me that I'm a mix of a few of the characters. They tell me that at times I remind them of Sheldon ... but at other times I remind them of Wolowitz (because I'm an overt perv). After the fact, I've learned that some of my friends and colleagues have helped with the show (as consultants to make sure that the stuff they write on the white boards is correct - and reflects stuff that current physicists would actually be thinking about and/or working on).I don't think that Nate Scheelhouse thought that Iowa's offense was a good fit for his talents. By the way Ghost, are you a fan of The Big BangTheory? One of my favorite shows, and it should be right up your alley......Would you be more of a Sheldon or a Leonard? LOL!!!

As for Piersbacher - he seemed to be a football first sort of guy .... and Saban's Crimson Tide program could offer him both a NFL future AND a better shot at national championship rings. To some guys ... shiny things are more valuable than loyalty. To each their own ...
Very nice Ghost, Love the show! So do have a Penny, Amy, or Bernadette in your life? I had heard this was the year RM changed to DL and the kid said he wanted to play for RM but we went ahead and changed him to DL. Not sure if this played as much as it was Bama...…….No inside knowledge, but I've suspected that the recruiting of Piersbacher was also botched.

A hunk of his recruitment also occurred during the '12 season. That not only didn't inspire confidence in the new offensive staff ... but on top of that, there was a lot of negative recruiting going on ... much of it emphasizing how Kirk was on the hot seat. Furthermore, coming out of that period was some discontent among players and fans about how guys were being utilized (Willies, Powell, and complaints about CJ not being the qb).No inside knowledge, but I've suspected that the recruiting of Piersbacher was also botched.
and Martin is buried on the depth chart and has done nothing on booger eaters roster. He is reaping what He sows.A hunk of his recruitment also occurred during the '12 season. The lead recruiter was Morgan - and he was on top of things there from the get-go. A primary reason why Martin's recruitment went south was because Kennedy and Davis wanted more speed at WR ... so the Hawks held off offering initially. That delay was likely what miffed Martin in the first place.
Yea, I didn't think we were looking at him as a QB, which had a lot to do with why he went elsewhere...Kceasthawk... IIRC Scheelhaus was recruited as an athlete (1st WR and 2nd as DB) . His arm was average strength and not consistent on targets. Nate did have some decent wheels. Zook always oversold and underperformed at ILLANNOY.
BBT fan...right from the start even when the TV critics said it would be one of the worst shows as a newcomer to the CBS lineup. TV Critics. Put me down as a part Wolowitz (nonkosher, nerdy, horndog, no tats, like to work with figures
, Batman fan, would still hit on Penny) -- no, I don't live with my mother, I played sports, and I don't quote Star Trek or role play.
Dude you've got to be kidding??? That show is a riot. A couple of my all time favorites are "I need wood episode", and the one where Sheldon has been getting feminine hygiene coupons in the mail because he took Penny shopping, and Howard and Raj contemplating if Howards breasts have gone up a cup size because he's been giving his mom a massage with estrogen cream. Absolutely rolling on the floor funny, but to each his own I guess.....Multiple people admitting to liking the worst TV show ever made...
Without the laugh track there would be no laughter.
Ghost, were people really complaining about CJ not being the QB in the 12 season? I find that hard to believe. He was a junior in 15 when Iowa played for the BIG title correct? He would have been a 165lb freshman in 2012 correct?A hunk of his recruitment also occurred during the '12 season.
