Agree with OP about people who are dicks.

Also, I’d add people who try to become best buddies with servers - usually it’s older people- and try to chat them up.

You can tell the servers are trying to be polite but have so much else to do and the diners are just oblivious.

My brother embarrasses his friends if they flirt with the waitress. “Ok, that’s enough. She doesn’t want to date you. Let her do her job.” It immediately gets a look from the waitress that the guy is a loser and then it’s awkward every time she comes to the table. 🤣🤣

I'm always respectful and polite, my wife was a server in college so it's in my best interest. However we're now the old farts that are overly chatty with servers. It's happened more than once were a server has sat with us after shift change for a bit or recognized us at another place and joined us. Just last weekend a field day server recognized us at 30 hop and we had shots for her bday 🤣
