...The coaches, coordinators, or the system, but don't bash the kids. The players are playing hard and doing what their coordinators tell them to do. Therein lies some of the problem-- besides the fact that we played a very good opponent. Our plays are often way too conservative, some decisions are actually unbelievable, and everyone on the board, it seems, could design better passing plays. But don't blame the kids. We do have quarterbacks playing wide receiver and some very average linemen who were recruited because they were large basketball players with quick feet. Believe me, the kids are trying their best. The staff just needs to put them in a better position to be successful and recruit some more linemen and skill players who qualify academically and stay at Iowa. An awful lot of our potential WR's we signed in '13 and before and after have transfered, flunked out or disappeared. Let's not bash the ones who stayed.
