The Best Cheeseburger in Every State

I'm not a big fan of smashburgers compared to thicker, but Lua's smashburger is superior imo.

I have worked many a grill....the reality is a smashburger is going to taste better or worse based on who is on the grill.

To many think the objective is to get it super thin....when in reality you do need some meat to bite into.

If I am making it for myself I am going to use to half pound balls and press them just far enough that it shrinks to bun size and then double stack them
 
Dotsies in Elgin used to have a Southwestern Burger that was the best I have ever had. New ownership there too so not sure if they still offer it. Would drive an hour one way for it…
 
In the event that you are craving a "Habit Burger," you should know that you do not have to travel to Maryland. There are five or six of them around Las Vegas and another 75 or so in California and Arizona. New Jersey even has a few. They are kind of decent, but it is a fast-food chain.
