They explicitly stated they do not randomly shadowban, proof was provided in Twitter Files II that they routinely did and had a different name internally for shadowbanning accounts. The former management lied to everyone for years.

Did the fact that a media outlet had a “signed document by 50 former intelligence agents” saying there was no truth to anything in the laptop change anyone’s mind about the Biden family’s clear ties to influence peddling? It changes how I look at the Biden’s. I would vote for Joe again over Trump but I now think the Biden’s are as crooked as the Trumps.
That is not what the"signed" letter said though Phf. (it wasn't 50 for agents, it was a mixture of agents, policy workers and office workers)
The letter specifically states they have no evidence of anything, but based on their experience, they think it is likely disinformation.
If the electorate is dumb enough to read that letter and change who they may vote for is even more pathetic than people only getting news from Twitter or FB.

The NYT and thousands of other outlets never censured the story, the discourse was never interrupted from the public. . Everyone up in arms about this story is defending the idiots that only get news from their social media feeds.
I am 100 % ok with a private company disseminating whatever they choose; the consumers will decide whether or not it has value.

De-amplifying conspiracy themes, extremism and violence is EXACTLY what they SHOULD be doing.
In my opinion, Musk is conflating his notion of what social media should be with election integrity. He's essentially claiming we can't have a legitimate election unless every source of information on the Internet is impartial and unbiased. That has never been the case and never will be the case. Musk's Twitter will be as full of garbage as he claims the pre-Musk Twitter was. It's just a different pile of shit and to think otherwise is just flat out naive.
Musk thinks he's doing the Lord's work here but he's really just being used. I would think he'd be smart enough to know better.
