48hrs is my best guess. If nothing is announced on McCullom by Monday night, then it will be time to get worried.
I’ll bet we hear by 3pm tomorrow.48hrs is my best guess. If nothing is announced on McCullom by Monday night, then it will be time to get worried.
Agree, but would rather keep Dix as priority #1 if possible. It has to be tomorrow. Start scouring the portal on Monday. Keep Pryce in the fold.
Too much $$$ for Dix. Love him but he’s gonna get a good paycheck.Agree, but would rather keep Dix as priority #1 if possible.
Yes, I agree on keeping Dix, but I’m assuming he’s gone. But, with a new coach who is all the rage and a big boost in NIL/rev sharing, anything is possible. We might keep more players than we think, assuming McCollum wants them.Agree, but would rather keep Dix as priority #1 if possible.
Ain’t gonna be able to afford both Stirtz and Dix. I’ll take Stirtz.Agree, but would rather keep Dix as priority #1 if possible.

I wouldn’t be devastated if Koch left, but I’d be disappointed. High level legacy recruit. There’s not a single player on our roster that I’d be devastated about losing.
Drake is a great midmajor who can pull upsets in the tourney. Put them in a 20-game Big Ten schedule and they would struggle. The Big Ten wears teams down.Based upon what I'm watching right now, Drake's team would beat Wisconsin. But yes, we need to import a stud post player
We were at 1.4M this year. Kansas led the way at 4.2M. I don't think we will be at 5M or even close to that.My guess is Dix probably wants to go to a sure fire winner that will make NCAA tourney (and not be DOA) since he never got to experience that at Iowa. Iowa is a rebuild and Dix will be a target for some of the high NIL schools, so my guess is getting Dix back is remote.
NIL wise someone is tweeting we will be up to $5 million/year. We should be able to sign Stirz if McCollum is coach and the Drake guys that want to stick together. We need an athletic Big that can defend----Drake guys looked too small inside to match up to a good P4 teams. Drake put up a good effort, but in the end Talent does matter.
He was the most complete player for sure. Hoping Koch finds a way back as well.Dix was the best player on the roster IMHO
Bo Ryan never had the best players. But he was the best coach. I think BM can recruit and develop the caliber of players Ryan did.Drake is a great midmajor who can pull upsets in the tourney. Put them in a 20-game Big Ten schedule and they would struggle. The Big Ten wears teams down.
McCollum is an excellent coach but he’s not going to outcoach Izzo, Painter, Underwood, May, Collins, etc. with lesser talent. It’s a tough league to win in without great talent.

Next year the Big schools get money from revenue sharing for NIL. 2.5 million is the number I’ve seen. So that’s why the huge increase. We were at 1.4M this year. Kansas led the way at 4.2M. I don't think we will be at 5M or even close to that.
I think we’ll be at $2.8M for rev share and $2.2M in NIL for a total payroll of $5M. Thats enough to give BM the resources to be successful.Next year the Big schools get money from revenue sharing for NIL. 2.5 million is the number I’ve seen. So that’s why the huge increase.
There is zero reason to believe those other coaches have a leg up on BM coaching wise. Can we get a first year roster that he can work with? I'm guessing yes.Drake is a great midmajor who can pull upsets in the tourney. Put them in a 20-game Big Ten schedule and they would struggle. The Big Ten wears teams down.

We really don’t know what basketball’s share of nil and revenue sharing will be. We just have to wait and see. Things will be better than last year but by how much we don’t know yet.I think we’ll be at $2.8M for rev share and $2.2M in NIL for a total payroll of $5M. Thats enough to give BM the resources to be successful.
