Me and my buddy were like 12 at the time and we got to sit on the bleachers on the field for his Senior Day game against Minnesota. Seemed like he made every single tackle that day. He was a once in a lifetime player, makes me miss those days.
What surprises me, looking back at a lot of that footage ... despite how big so many of those hits were, he used good form ... even today, very few of those hits would get called for targeting. It's impressive to unleash such violence in such a controlled manner. Kudos to you Bob!
I was there that day as well. He stripped either Barber or Maroney right at the goal line on a dive play, it was amazing. One of the more fun games I have ever been to.

Turned the whole trajectory of the day toward Iowa, had to be at the 1-inch line. Iowa rolled from there!
Everytime I watch that video I finish feeling sorry for the people he played against. Playing against him had to be demoralizing.
