Fran got totally wasted tonight by Gard. The entire McCaffrey's did.

Conner and Patrick needs to go to a mid-major, they're not high-major players, I'm sorry.

FIFY although I think Patrick would be a serviceable high major player had he been coached by someone other than Fran. His older brother is the least athletic player in the conference and would have never gotten minutes on another Big Ten team.

That's what everyone said about Brian's offense before football season started. That lesson was that as bad as things seem at times, things can ALWAYS get worse.

I said at the beginning of the year Dix, Bown, and Peyton should be getting all of Conner and most of Patricks minutes. Get through the growing pains in the Non conf will pay off at the end of the year. It never happened and now it's the Mccaffery show out there. Conner sucks against NCAA caliber teams, and Patrick looks like CJ Fredriechs looked at the end of the year before he transferred. Totally checked out. I like Patrick and always felt he at least was a legit player but his dad doesn't make him play the type of game he needs to. Conner is D3 at best.

He's checked out. It's plain as day and I'm a Patrick fan. He's talented enough to belong in this conference. He just isn't coached well enough. This version of Patrick is giving Conner a run for his money for worst Big Ten player getting over 10 minutes a game.

It just goes to show what his dad lets him get away with. It may have been warranted in this case maybe not but people act like Connor is some sort of basketball savant. He is not. He is a coaches kid that has gotten away with a lot over the years and likely would not have played near the minutes he has under another coach.

He of all people shouldn't whine about a foul. He gets away with more arm rakes and body bumps than any player since Davidson.

They were but the odds of winning Indiana down 21 and Michigan down 7 under a minute left (if I recall correctly) are extremely rare.

Discontented players vote with their feet, they don't go out in public and criticize the coach/teammates. JoeT left last year. Seems likely Bowen is gone. It is true that Dix has outplayed him...but the last two game the 5 starters and the two bench guys Sandfort and PMAC that have played like garbage and Fran hasn't found even a minute for Bowen. Good way to get a guy into the portal.

We are definitely in a slump right now, both shooting and mentally, but to call this team soft is to forget all the Quad One wins they've accumulated. Hopefully they can right the ship now or they may find themselves in the NIT.

Although I think FM's teams always play a little soft it is not the biggest issue with this team.

This team appears to be demoralized. The effort in the last two games by several players has been lacking in focus and intensity. Which I believe is because they have reached a point of frustration with current game/team/player management. You can use your own insight as to what that means. JMO

- Connor: 1-6 (0-5 3's; all wide open as I recall) from 3 point land, flopping around all over the place, 3 TO's, whining and complaining as always.
- PMAc: matador defense, 0 points, wasted / worthless minutes, pissing down his leg once again
- Fran not having his team ready and pissing and moaning about the calls again - as usual.

This entire team was so mentally weak tonight, pathetic... Kris, well he's no Keegan.

This is the worst loss against one of the worst WI teams I've seen. Terrible

Team chemistry has been brought up in some of these posts. Imo it is the toughest part of coaching a team…..especially b-ball as there are only 5 on the court at a time. Imagine knowing you are practicing better and performing better than a player and still not getting playing time deserved……let alone behind the coaches son.

I noticed at the first tv timeout that Fran took Kris out but kept Connor in with Patrick and Sandfort. You take out your all conference player but keep Connor out there. Only Fran does stuff like this.
