* The Official FSU vs. Charleston Southern Game Day Thread *

uf might be the best .500 team in the nation.
Could definitely make that argument. Should have won @Tenn and were up/competitive with UGA even after having to go to the 3rd string qb. Texas got away from them early, but noon game and knowing you didn’t have Lagway might have set them up for a terrible showing.

I hate to be that guy… but really don’t like the look of the ball Luke has been throwing today.

You are correct. He's thrown several really dangerous completions that would have been picked off against a better defense.

I almost commented on it last week. It is relatively loose and to go beyond 10 yards, he doesn't throw ropes. Neither of them do. I was flipping back and forth between 2 games last week and it really struck me how much more velocity almost every other QB has. Also noticed the size of the window they throw it into, just seem to need a larger target.

Ole Miss beat Georgia but lost to Florida and Kentucky
Bama beat Georgia but lost to Vandy
Tenn beat Bama but lost to Arkansas
LSU beat Ole Miss but lost to Florida
A&M lost its only 2 ranked games by 34
Texas has 1 win vs winning team… by 3

It’s possible this means the SEC is just 16 teams deep. Or… nobody’s *that* good.

Well pretty clearly the 32 best teams in the country are in the SEC....the 16 starting lineups and the 16 2nd strings. Shoot, there are probably at least 3 whose 3rd strings would round out the top 35. Don't believe me, just tune in to finbum fir an hour Monday, he'll explain it to you.

This guy could, as I was in school during that 73-75 losing debacle.
Yet your teams played hard and up to their talent level. Would have beat defending champ Bama away, except for a questionable take the safety decision.
FSU was not exactly football royalty back then.
The roster was loaded for Bobby when he came in.
.Currently, who would say the talent level is high for the new coordinator to roll with?
BTW, the poster you respond to was likely not around during your time frame of reference.

It took Bobby a long time before FSU starting being mentioned as a national title contender. Does any college program have the patience for that today?

How should I know? You don’t, for whatever that matters.
Within his fourth season he went what, 11-1 if memory serves me correctly?

Hell, a lot of coaches don't last four seasons today.

Anyway, I was at FSU in 85-86. There was a buzz that we were getting good, but not really there yet.

Bowden took over at FSU in 76.

Oh, I know. I was there, and discovered after the game how classy Bama fans are. I expected ridicule, and instead got invited to a post-game tailgate with food and booze like I've never seen. They may appear pompous and arrogant to some, but their history kinda/sorta creates that. Hell, when our team left the field for the locker room right down below us, the Bama cheerleaders ran over and shook their pompoms and cheered for the effort the team gave. I was so happy when we fired that fool who coached from the press box.

Do you have anything, besides hysterical perspective, as my old buddy Jerry would say?
If fans like you demand change, what could go wrong?
